Talk about great news to wake up to -- I'd seen on the eBooks page here at eHarl that Pick Me Up, my Blaze Forbidden Fantasy from Aug 2007 had been chosen among the 2007 Best eBooks, but it was a kick to get this listing in my email this morning:
Top 10 eBooks of 2007
1. Pick Me Up by Samantha Hunter
2. Stray by Rachel Vincent
3. Lusty Billionaires Bundle by Carol Marinelli, Lucy Monroe and Cathy Williams
4. The Contaxis Baby by Lynne Graham
5. Marrying Her Billionaire Boss by Myrna Mackenzie
6. Caine's Reckoning by Sarah McCarty
7. The Millionaire's Seductive Revenge by Maxine Sullivan
8. Lori Foster Bundle by Lori Foster
9. Touch of the Wolf by Karen Whiddon
10. Brenda Jackson's Westmoreland Series by Brenda Jackson
Woo Hoo! I can't believe I hit #1! And look at the company I'm in -- talk about a great TBR!
I've been a supporter of eBooks for some time, and finally just got my own Dell Axim to read with (as well as write and everything else -- have to thank Lorie-Hosty and Tawny Weber for their recommendations -- the Axim rocks!), and I am pretty much a total convert. I'm finishing up a few print books I had bought before, and have three on my Amazon because they are books dh will read as well, but I'd say I have gone to being a 90% eBook reader lifestyle. I love it. I get my books fast, a little less expensively, when I want them, and I don't have the clutter on the shelf.
If you haven't tried an eBook, I hope you might and see how you like it. Publisher's Weekly actually predicted that eBooks will be making huge growth in 2008, while still remaining small overall percentage of total publishing sales, but I expect that will change as people find out how great it is.
How about you? Do you eBook? Are you considering it?

Congratulations!
Wow Sam - That is a fantastic achievement. Great job! And of course, I loved the book!
Thanks Betty
I'm just really thrilled people liked the book, and I'm really happy it did well in print and ebook -- do you read eBooks?

eBooks
I read quite a few eBooks, Sam. I"m a fan of Ellora's Cave and I also like the immediate gratification. I haven't made the leap into a reader, though. Gosh - having a library in my purse all the time - why haven't I made the leap to a reader?
Margaret
Make the leap!
Here, I'll even provide rationale: if you get a PDA, like an Axim, you can use it to write as well as read, so you don't have to feel completely like a slacker, LOL. Guilt-free. ;)
I've never been one to hide the covers of my books, I don't really care what others think of my reading, but I will say it's easier at the gym, or the dr's office or whatever to read a Spicy book with naked people on the cover with an ereader, LOL.

Congrats Sam
I will read ebooks but I can't quite convince myself I'd like an ereader
I have an old Palm Pilot but it just doesn't do anything for me, I like to touch pages
LOL on Spicy books being "easier" to read on an ereader
Less comment-inspiring maybe, but I'm too lost in my book to care what people think of it
Besides
I read my spicy books in English so the cover is about all that will
interest people around me, most of them wouldn't want the books even if
I gave them away but they're also more laidback about sexy covers

You're right
about Europeans being more laid back about spicy things -- I think that's true on TV and such as well, from what friends who've lived in other countries have told me. Far less concern about all that, which I think is good. Wish we could get to that point, and less censorship on TV, etc. Would make for better, more interesting programming, less "vanilla."
You can pick up an e-reader very reasonably on eBay, where I got my Axim new in the box, but after the retailer had discontinued it, so I picked it up for 1/3 the original price, which was nifty. Though I also do email, write, etc on it.
I'm buying my first non-Harleuin e-book today at another e-book site, Wendy Roberts' Remains of the Dead. She was on Cigars, and was lovely, but I love that title and can't wait to read the book, and see how downloading elsewhere works... it's been so easy here -- maybe too much so! LOL

wow. i'm such a technical
wow. i'm such a technical novice. but the idea of something that you can do all of those things on sounds great! i am all for less clutter & multi-tasking!!
i was thinking of asking for an ipod...maybe i should ask for an Axim. can i play mp3s on it?
My Blog
Hey Theresa
Just finishing up writing for the night... fun to see you here. :)
You can play MP3s on the Axim, though I haven't tried it yet. It's pretty easy to use, has a nice screen -- if you look at them, get the X51 v, -- the "v" is important to screen quality. I got mine for a great deal, though, and LOVE it. I think they are discontinued though (I have NO idea why, they are great), so I'd look on ebay, etc if you want one -- you can get them new in the box, mine was...
