Getting Started

This year i'm determined to fullfill a lifetime dream. To write a book. Even if no one else ever reads it i'm making it my goal to write. I choose to write in the paranormal-romance genre because that is what interests me. I'm a big fan of Sherilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Janet Chapman and Katie MacAlister. Right now i'm in the process of making an outline of my characters and aspects of my story.

The Write Stuff

Good for you Lisa!  May I recommend you introduce yourself to the aspiring authors on the Write Stuff message board, you'll find all kinds of great help and content over there.

Hi lisa

I have also decided to start writing and putting it out there for other people to read. I havr no idea what I'm doing, but I do know it's something I enjoy.

So with my decision I came on to this site and started poking around. I found that the people on her are great and very supportive.

I found the Write stuff threads and I have particapated in the writers challenges and got some really good feedback on my stories.

I am also a big fan of the paranormal romance genre and I hope that in a few years of learning. I will one day have a book of my own. But I am also happy just writing for myself.

Good luck with your book and come over to the writers challenge and have some fun.

I've thought about trying "writing"  meself!  I've a few ideas for more than one story. perhaps a collection of short stories going on in me head.Undecided

Best Wishes

Hi Lisa,

I was cruising around and saw your post and had to stop by. I want to send my best wishes for a satisfying endeavor to you. I have had writing as a companion in my life from way back in elementary school. I've always used fictional characters as a filter for my own experience. The year I got serious about writing and finished my first book was such a powerful time.

I hope you'll enjoy yourself, learn a lot, and find yourself firmly on the path to success (whatever that means for your journey!).

Cheers,

Ellen

I, too, have started doing some writing

At another time in my life I was doing more writing and than I went back to a fulltime job outside the home. My writing time was drastically reduced to nothing. (After all I still have to read!) I'm trying to reorganize my life and start writing again. I found the Writer's forum--there are some wonderful folks over there. Good luck!

Nancy
