I had to share this story because I keep laughing everytime I think about it.
I was at a family gathering today to celebrate Easter. My aunt was telling us what her grandson, my cousins boy, said the night before. Joseph is in Kindergarden.
Grandma (my aunt) purchased a few Easter baskets to give to the other children at the Easter party. Her grandson, Joseph, wanted to open his basket that night.
Grandma: "Joseph, If you open it now, you won't have anything to open tomorrow on Easter". He kept bugging her so she let him open it. When he was getting ready for bed he said:
Joseph: "I'll be getting a basket tomorrow from the Easter Bunny".
Grandma: "No Joseph, you will not be getting anything else tomorrow. I told you that if you opened your basket tonight, you would not have anything to open tomorrow."
Joseph: "Why? Did Santa kill the Easter Bunny?
Grandma: "No Joseph! Santa didn't kill the Easter Bunny! There is no Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny is just a story. We celebrate Easter because Jesus died on the cross for us so we could live in heaven. You didn't go to school on Friday because that was Good Friday the day Jesus died on the cross. Then Jesus rose again for our sins. That is why we celebrate Easter".
Joseph: "Then did the Easter Bunny kill Jesus"?

LOL!
This is hilarious!!!!! I can so see a kid coming up with that! If I was "grandma" I would have passed out!!!!

Kids
I agree. Kids can come up with some crazy things. Joseph is a sweetheart but I guess he had to make the Easter Bunny the bad guy if he wasn't getting a basket.
Margie :)
I love that story Margie.
I love that story Margie. Kids say the strangest/and often funniest things sometimes.
