Harlequin authors: Thank you!

I am a goober and I promise I won't blog again about how wonderful everyone here is!Embarassed

Michelle Styles, Donna Alward, Lori Borrill, Liz Fielding and Deb Marlowe have all been positive influences for me in my continuing journey to learning the craft of writing. Please keep up your interaction on the boards because I constantly find inspiration and guidance in your posts.

Your websites are awesome places for information as well, so keep up the good work! Free info is better than taking an on-line course to find out the same things you ladies blog about.

Just had to get all that out. We moved to NM and my hubby left the next day for a year in Honduras and sometimes I find myself getting negative. A quick look on the boards straightens me out right away. No one should ever doubt the positive impact they can have on another human being.

Angel,

I'm sure you've made MANY authors very happy and perhaps a little verklempt with your lovely words.  And I'm very happy that you find our little community to be such an inspiration and comfort.  When will your hubby be back?

Hubby will be back May 15th! I should never complain because he will only be gone a year when many husbands have been in Iraq and Afghanistan much longer or will never come back.

The poor man will soon have to listen to me in person constantly extoll the virtues of eHarlequin rather than in e-mails! He told me he is glad I found you guys because he worries less about me when I send him positive e-mails and the folks on this board have been the catalyst for many of those e-mails.Embarassed

Awww....

Angel, I saw the title of your post and ventured in...what a lovely surprise to see my name up there! Jayne is quite right about verklempt!

If you're a goober, so am I.  I came to eharlequin in 2001 as a newbie writer and found inspiration and guidance...from Michelle, and Liz, and several other authors.  I still do.  So I'm happy that in some small way I might be paying that forward.  The cool thing about writing is that you never stop learning.  And so I stay on the boards because they've become like home to me!

Keep writing.  As Michelle said often enough to me...Desire, Dedication, Discipline and Determination.  :-)   And yay on your hubby being back soon!  We're in the process of making a big move, and I'm surprised and pleased at how my online peeps are a constant amidst the craziness!

Cheers,

Donna

I read many articles about authors getting pulled away from writing because of blogging, their websites, etc. I want all you wonderful ladies to know that the time you give to eHarlequin is well spent.

As for Michelle- I better not meet her anytime before my hero worship abates a little. I told my hubby I definitely want to make the RWA conference next year but I am afraid I will see some of my favorite authors and embarass myself.

Donna...I forgot

Good luck on your move. It is sad I have been all over Europe but never to Canada which is much closer. I guess if my husband gets his wish to go to Alaska next, (I want the UK of course since I love the Regency,) I will see some of Canada!

Thank you

<blushing> I am so pleased that my word shave helped you.

And I know how you feel about eharlequin as I feel the same way.

Prays for your husband's safe return.
