Thanks everyone! And aaaw, thanks Jayne. I'm doing sort of okay with posting images and things here, but I'm no expert. Is it easy to move them around to make it look like that?
Yes, mittens. I blame the Bat Cave thread. One of the 'bats' posted a mitten pattern there and I got the itch to try to make it. It's knitted on four needles in a round pattern, something I haven't done before. Things could get scary when I get out of the ribbing stage and move into the pattern. Or ugly......

Mittens in the round knit up so much faster. And the only tricky part and it's not even that tricky, is moving your thumb stitches to a holder and then picking them up and knitting them at the end. But really...I hate knitting them on two needles now.
My sister, as a Christmas present several years ago, gave me a 3 inch binder filled with knitting patterns - double sided!

Oh, Donna, you're in trouble now. Guess who I'll come screaming to if I can't work out what I'm doing! LOL!!
I've got a way to go before I get to the thumb part, and at the moment it's very slow going, indeed. But I'm hopeful I'll be able to make the darn things. I liked the pattern a lot.
