It was 60 degrees and sunny this morning when I went to work so I left my little Bonsai juniper on the patio to get some much needed sun.. It got cloudy later and then started to snow this afternoon!
Merri took this pic before I got home, I brought it in not long after. The bonsai expert in Denver sez the roots should stay above 20 degrees, so the moisture was good and it never got that cold. We're reading with a log in the fire tonight and the juniper between two gardenias.
The bonsai gardenias came with yellow and brown leaves and we're hoping they will make it, but they keep losing more even though lots of new shoots are starting.
I'm reading Shadow Surrender by Linda Conrad, the Four Corners country gets spookier every time I read a mystery that takes place there :-) And to think that I've camped in a tent out there with all those Navaho and Hopi ghosts doing their thing!

Yum! Gardenias. I love the smell but I always manage to kill them.

indoor vs outdoor
I'm a lot better at outdoor plants which is weird because in the college program I took they taught both indoor and outdoor plants. Guess I didn't pay too close attention to indoor plants.

and my siblings can grow anything....inside or out! I just don't have the touch....although I try! I love beautiful plants, so I always try....I gave up on a vegetable garden though, I could grow beautiful plants and get no veggies.....that was always a disappointment. LOL
