Welcome back to the Winter-Wonderland... and I'm NOT happy!

Outside our living room window

My daughter Teresa took this picture about at about 2:00 or 3:00 pm... this afternoon.  It is still snowing; not much right now, but it's not stopped once yet since starting Friday evening.
Man, this weather is AWFUL... and then there are the weather warnings that are still in effect.   Sheesh!

          * * * * * *          * * * * * *          * * * * * *          * * * * * *

Since Friday night it has been snowing... and it's not a local thing just here in Edmonton ~ it's bloody province-wide... at the least!
The snow has not abated at all in over 48 hours and we now have at least half a foot of snow.  The forecast was originally for 22 to 30 cm (9 - 12 inches).  This, along with the wind, blowing snow and temperatures of -12C (10F) ~ with windchill the temp is more like -20C (-4F).

So much for springtime.  I've asked for a picture to be taken and when I get it, I'll post it here. Last Friday there was no snow left anywhere... dry roads, dry lawns turning green... and now this.  GAH!

My warmest sympathies! We

My warmest sympathies! We had our first snow of the season on Easter! But it melted away within an hour. Hope your trees don't lose their buds.

Thanks FF....

Overall we were lucky that way as the trees hadn't started to bud yet... at least that's one thing that we have going for being a little more north of center.  But still.... it's very frustrating.  And having to re-learn winter driving again... some people aren't so good at that.Undecided

Kalyko

I hear your pain.  We got a foot and a half dump just over a week ago, and were more than happy to leave the province.  Only to come back and get dumped on again!

Sigh.

This is more winter than we've had all..well, winter!  Keep warm up there.  We're keeping our fingers crossed for a chinook soon.

your lucky

be grateful what we have here in Arizona is dry, dry, dry. It hasn't rained all April and now we have to watch for wild fires.

Yikes!

Should I mention it's in the 80s here in Florida????  Sealed

LOL Donna...

At this rate I'm just hoping for the snow to S-T-O-P!!!!
It's still coming down and we're still experiencing white-outs around the city... I'm not even thinking about the highway to Jasper on which my dh is traveling today... .*fingers crossed*

mlacroix54... ouch, that's awful.  I'll tell ya, if I could send you some of this, I would... although maybe not in snow form... rain'd work much better for you all I'm guessing.

Debi, personally?  I think I'll stick with the snow thank-you-very-much.  GADS, temps in the 80's... in April.  ACK!  Nope leave me with the cooler weather... rain'd be great... over a foot of snow?  Nope, that I could do without.  The roads are terrible... and we're used to winter driving!  But the snow plows just cannot keep up.  There really hasn't been any appreciable break in the snowfall since Friday night... it's stopped for 1/2 to 1 hour TOPS in all that time.  At least it's not really freezing... but lots of wet, heavy snow.  Undecided

I' with mlacroix54

Here in New Mexico, we are suffering dry weather like Arizona. We had a dry winter too and not the fires. Three big ones burning right now including one close to Albuquerque that keeps getting worse instead of better because of the srping winds we get here. I love to look at snow, but prefer it only out my window in the morning and melted by noon.

Bonsal

should I mention

that I spent Monday and Tuesday working outside on my sister's garden and I got sunburnt

ROFLOL... Gee Christa...

Uh NO!  LOL

Sunburn and gardening seem to be, once again, very far away!
All my tulips were up and my crocus and snowdrops were blooming... I'll  have to see what's left once the snow vanishes.  Undecided
