as three hundred kind of snuck up on me while I was busy doing summaries
and that Dream Team five hundred spot will be coming up soon too (I'll try and avoid it
)
It's more difficult to "save" the spots for good books when it's less easy
to pinpoint the milestones - at least it feels that way to me, maybe I'm the only one still feeling lost in this new home - but I do want to try
I've been saving a Merline Lovelace for my third double oh spot and am about to start it after lunch
I have a little backlog but you'll be reading my blog by the weekend if
the boys leave me time and mental space to get at my computer between
now and then
How about the rest of you? Making any efforts for those special milestones or do you feel every book's a milestone when we're all this crazy busy
Phone call - must go

Just reached..
I just reached 50! I don't know how many the team has read, is there a way to see that? It is probably right in front of me when I click on Dream Team & I'm just not noticing it!!
There are still things about navigating the site that I am learning! For instance I just posted a current Blaze but didn't think to post the cover with it! I thought about it after the fact!!
Oh well!!!
Some of our team mates don't seem to be able to visit very much, I miss them.
Take care, happy reading,

No there isn't a Dream Team total, I get it by adding the
individual totals and remembering the previous month's total to subtract it and thus obtain the monthly total as well as the YTD
This book should be Dream Team #477 if I've calculated things correctly

I, too, miss some of the
I, too, miss some of the team elements, I loved seeing our team numbers, but I know that we don't keep track of them now. I do try and do something special for 100, 150, etc. For some reason, 50 is never anything special, I guess too soon to care about. I am only on 67 so it will be a while for 100 for me this year.

25 to go
I still got 25 to go before thinking about what to read gor the 100 spot and as a team The Quiet Canadians still have 50 to go for 200. I'm still learning my way around the boards. I wish I could visit more people more often.
DonnaM- I have a sticky note on my computer of the step I need to do posting a book review. Mind you I have 10 steps I have to follow

Reading numbers
I'm proud of myself that I've read 63 books so far. I don't know how you all are so far ahead of me because between always having my nose in a book and reading what I consider fast, I should be near the rest of you. Sadhbh, I gather you don't live in the US? If you live in France, I'll be there in a few weeks and would like to meet you if we can. Trudy
When will you be here and what part of France will you be
visiting?
I feel I already asked this but my early morning brain won't access the details

10 steps!
Christa I'm wondering how come it takes 10 steps for you to do a book review. If you see this, email me at home cause I am curious.
LIke Cady & others I miss feeling more like I am a part of a team this year. I'm not saying I don't like the new website but there are things that make it seem like there are more steps to get around! Some of that is because I'm still learning!
Once I got the basics down to post my review, find my favorite threads I kind of got in a rut! Now, I'm trying to expand my rut!!!
I wish we had a few more emoticons such as waving, dancing, a heart, just to name a few! Mostly I wish when we visit a thread it took us to the last post we read/posted. I probably miss that most & also being able to scroll back up to the posts I read, there is a way around that if I remember to do it!!
Take care, happy reading,

River Cruise through France
Sadhbh,
I hope you were talking to me when you asked when will I be in France and where am I going. I start in Paris May 18, go to Burgandy (Beaune), Chalon-sur-Saone, Tournus, Macon, Lyon, Tournon, Tain L'Hermitage, Viviers, Avignon, Arles and Nice. We will be sailing down the Rhone River. It's not my first trip to France and I do speak some French (I've been listening to my French tapes to practice getting my ear back) but, this trip is going exactly where I want to go with the exception of Pau! And the kicker is, it is going to be filmed! That's right, Burt Wolf is filming a documentary on this trip. Besides all these other good things, I have a childhood pen-pal who lives in Arles and I'd like to find him again. The only down things are the sinking dollar
and the fact that the temps will only be in the 60's F. and that is winter weather to us Floridians! I want to go so bad that I can't sleep at night and this is not my first trip to France!
If you live near one of those places, maybe we can meet up? Trudy
If you were going to Pau I'd be en route as I'm closer to there
than to Nice. What's more I don't really have much vacation time yet but maybe I could take a trip to meet you on one of the weekends (I'll talk to DH and see what's possible)
We can maybe email each other closer to the time you leave
Hugs
