My dh Glenn (Phaedrus) and I are going on a min-vacation. He is taking the day off tomorrow. We are both really burnt out right now so we are taking the fantasy vacation....staying home, turning off the computer and the phone. No work, no obligations but a reading retreat. We might paint the floor wood on the two small patios and we might cook together. Mostly we are just taking a couple of days to chill out and not race around quite so much as we normally do.

Thanks! I could use another week! I still may take Monday and Tuesday off from work. I only wish Glenn could take a week off too right now. We had a brief moment of snow. Spring has definitely sprung..... complete with major allergies. I read about 5 or 6 books. Our cat and dog definitely enjoyed having us both home so much.

Thanks! It as nice to turn off the computer for a while but it's also nice to be writing about books again. I used to go on lots of retreats when I lived in NC --- no phones, no nothing. Now with our dog getting older, taking a retreat at home is very nice and the best option. He gets a bit frantic if there are big chanes in his routine. I am so far behind with reviews but I need to do this more often. I slept so well one night I could not believe it! I might have to take more mini-vacations. I'd love to take a week off and do the same thing only keep blogging.
