Over the past year I’ve tried several different photo programs
out–many I have actually really liked. But several things were becoming
apparent here as of late - most take a lot of time to create, keep up and can really eat up bandwidth.
I LOVED creating, no doubt about it but I don’t have the time. So I
kept trying different things. The bandwidth though is an issue I also
didn’t want to have to deal with. Every time a page is loaded bandwidth
is used, thus since I’m putting pictures on almost every post lately,
and copy/pasting the post in several different places, the pictures
were starting to draw a lot of this bandwidth. (means I’m having lots
of visitors which is a good thing! )
Why I’m rambling about this… I have no idea other than to say I’ve decided I really, really like Flickr! It will be awesome for sharing photos not only on here but with friends and family. So now to share!!!
As you can see
our seedlings are growing! The first picture I took of 4 he smiled
perfectly but then in this one he is trying so hard to wink. It was
just too cute NOT to post. Same with this next one.
We actually have some tomato plants growing there!!! I can’t wait. Oh and look at this ~
I bought these ferns last spring all along knowing I was going to
try and winter them. I’ve not had good luck with many plants surviving
indoors. But they made it! (There are two of them) YAY! Now to find out
if I need to re-pot them or wait another year…?
Oh and I got out the hummingbird feeder.
I’ve never been able to get the birds to go to it. They love my
roses and such but I don’t know, they just don’t seem to like the
feeder. I’m trying a new place for it this year. Wish me luck!
See these lovely bushes?
Well they’re coming out! I actually like the bushes. They do provide
privacy but they obscure my view of the yard so I can never see what
the kids are doing and the birds make a royal mess of my deck! We do
feed the birds but we have plenty of bushes surround the yard with
trees that I don’t feel guilty taking these ones out. In place of them
my hubby gets a couple of bushes (small) that he likes and I get to put
some potted herbs inbetween! Yay! I can’t wait. I’m kind of thinking of
diving in and pulling them out today before the hubby gets home. For
some reason he thinks its ‘mans’ work. goofy guy! On the other hand I
came across this Apricot-Orange Bread recipe that I think I’d like to
try out and if I leave the work for him I would have the time to make
it.
hmmmmm…. If I do I’ll let you know–the pictures and recipe will be posted all over at my dailylog blog.
Okay I’m off to enjoy the sunshine–after flooding us all night its finally peeking out! Have a great weekend everyone!
