I've been trying to type up my blog backlog for an hour and a half,
I threw my men out the back so that I might have some small hope of
concentrating but forgetaboutit!
There hasn't been a single
ten-consecutive-minute period in which one, other or all three have not
come inside with problems only I can solve
Seriously thinking about turning the keys in the locks so that they CAN'T come in
I'd have finished by now if they only would leave me to it!

I know just how you feel
Sadhbh, I sat down at my computer almost half an hour ago, and in that time I've been interrupted 4 times to "come and see what I found" -- he's cleaning out his junk drawer. . . And I only have one to put up with. . .
DonnaH
and this is just the typing up of post-its, it's not even
actually counting the time to write the reviews, which I manage to do outdoors with the books and the post-it pad
Two minutes after I finished that blog entry and was back typing up
entries, all three of my men came in at thirty-second intervals.
I'm more or less up to date now and we've had dinner (on the terrace) and
(DH watered it just before dinner
) watching the sunset
now they're running around the garden in the twilight so I'm going to
turn off Aladdin and insist they go to bed - sorry they're sitting on
the wet grass
Yes I have a lovely garden with a lovely sunset view, and a sun that rises over the hill that blocks my view of the Pyrenees

Oh yea!
Isn't it amazing how important you are and that no one can solve certain problems except you?!!
I know it isn't funny but it makes me appreciate living alone all that much more! Don't get me wrong, I loved being married, wish it had worked out to be celebrating a 42nd anniversary this month but...that didn't happen! It took awhile but I learned to appreciate being single. No use in lamenting "poor me, I'm alone'! Alone has some real pluses!!!
On the other hand, children grow up to fast & you wonder where the years went. Enjoy, the day will come when you won't have to have patience with all the interruptions.
I think I am slightly envious of your terrace with the view. Sorry to hear a mere hill cuts off a view of Pyrenees.
Enjoy your Sunday.
Take care, happy reading,

As you'll notice
With Lorie's expert help -- again -- I now have a picture. It isn't the wonderful studio portrait I was hoping I would look like, but it's better than nothing.
Dh has finally decided that he can sit and watch TV for a while without coming to interrupt me. Now that it's time to make supper. . .
It's cold and windy here today, so the only viewing I'm doing is from behind my windows. And all I can see is my back yard full of blowing leaves.

Hi Donnas - I've come to the conclusion that they react to
"go away" vibes, those vibes attract them like nothing else on earth
I
mean have you noticed that when a woman decides she really is not
interested in men and just goes out with her girlfriends, those are the
times all the men are attracted
There's nothing like total disinterest to spark that competitive streak in them

"Go away vibes"! How true!

Funny...
Yea, what is that when we really need some time to ourself that is when they need you most!!
There are just times when I wonder about the male species!!
The one thing that always got me was that he could be sick, maybe just feeling not up to par, and the house practically had to come to a stand still so he could recover but when I was sick (not often, thank heavens), I had to keep functioning!! No one bent over backward to cater to my every wish! Oh well, all water under the bridge!!
Take care, happy reading,

Being sick...
Oh I know what you mean about that! That is sooooo true! Frustrating, too!

Yep!
They all must wear the same jeans -- er, genes. . .
Thankfully mine isn't sick very often, but when he is. . .
Though I do have to admit that two years ago when I had that reaction to the antibiotic, he was very supportive and helpful. He pretty much had to be, with me writhing on the floor. . .

Speaking of men........
and their weird ways of thinking......DH could be watching some horrible movie that I don't want to watch (the-let's-kill-everybody-in-sight-films) and I will be reading and sitting right next to or laying on his side and he tells ME that I'm ignoring him. When I point out that HE is watching a movie and ignoring me, he says it's different?!?!?! How do you figure?!?! LOL I also get the "you're ignoring me" guilt trip when I read and he's watching his soap operas! LMAO
Donna M - I must say that I kinda of have the best of both worlds - single/married! I love my DH, don't get me wrong. When he travels overnight, I am able to read my books without feeling guilty for "ignoring" him! LOL Sometimes, it's nice to have a little "ME" time!
Have I mentioned lately that
Have I mentioned lately that my DH is nearly perfect? He doesn't care if I read, almost never bothers me when I am doing something, and is always ready to cook, clean and do handywork. Guess I lucked out, huh?

Oh DH has his good points, but like any male he's
irresistibly attracted by "go away vibes"

I've got where I want to with the reading and the blogging so everything I read from the one I just finished is a bonus for May
It helps when I have days off that the boys are at school, I mean I managed to read, review and post the blog of Deadly Temptation in a little more than an hour
