So, it rained all weekend, but in between the showers, we were working on the rock garden. Put in some flowers and hostas. I really wanted to get the mulch in, but it was too wet. That's next weekend's project. But I thought I'd post some pictures of things we did last year. My small herb/flower garden is starting to come in on its own, which is so cool. And we spent a day last fall putting a hundred tulip bulbs all over. I think the red turned out striking (pics will follow in posts). And the lilac was here and kind of sorry when we moved in. We've give it some TLC and it's blooming so beautifully for me this year!!
Yes, I've confessed before that I'm not a fan of gardening...the bugs, the dirt and the sun. But I'm sooo jazzed by the results of my efforts! So, how about you? What kind of gardening have you been doing around your yards? Anyone have pics they want to share of their gardens?

apartment living
I live in an apartment so I have limited space then the balcony is pretty much shaded so I'm limited even more, but my sister and my parents let me play in the dirt and they reap the rewards.
Looks like the TLC paid off. The tulips look great

I went to school for a horticultural technician, then worked in a greenhouse for a year and a half and since I haven't been able to work for another company they indulge me, but at my sister's she usually sends me for a manicure, pedicure and facial

don't like pedicures that much either
I figure most of the time you won't see my feet, so have been passing on pedicures.
I keep hoping the doctor says I can work but after 7 years it keeps looking more and more doubtful.

Silly rabbits! Pedicures aren't fopr showing off your feet. They are for making your feet feel good. A good foot massage will relaw you more than any thing else.
You have wonderful lilacs, Holly. I only have white ones. *sniff* We seeded our new back yard this weekend. Raked the newly plowed dirt to get the stones and bricks out, raked some more to smooth, raked some more before sowing the seed and raked some more after sowing, and then rolled with a great big stone roller. Color me tired.

Holly- It mostly affects balance and coordination so when I'm gardening I'm down on my hand and knees in the dirt.

Frenchie, LOL If they could do the foot massage and NOT touch my feet, I'd be game, but I'm horribly, terribly ticklish! And wow, sounds like quite the project!! Glad it's done, hope it all comes in beautifully!
Christa, Glad you liked the massage part...and alas, Frenchie's right, I'm a stoner. LOL I'll have to post a pic of the front now. The flowers are all in and I mulched today. I mulched a lot. Put a whole yard down by myself. Looks great, but I'm beat!!
