In a few of the Yahoo Groups that I belong to the challenge was issued this year to read at least one book by an author whose last name starts with every letter of the alphabet. I decided to attempt this.
At first I really wanted to read in ABC order, but decided this was really an impossible goal for me to achieve with my review commitments, so decided to read each letter as they called to me.
I have decided to share my list with you. Should you want to know more about a particular book I'll gladly tell you that. But for now what I'm hoping is that you can make suggestions for the letters I'm missing. Even if I have listed a potential read if you have a better idea I'm all eyes!
So without further ado here my list:
A-White Heat by Cherry Adair
B-Skinny Dipping by Connie Brockway
C-Shadow Surrender by Linda Conrad
D-Your Mouth Drives Me Crazy by Helen Kay Dimon
E-Naughty Neighbor by Janet Evanovich

Neat idea!
What a neat idea! I have such a plethora of books in my TBR bookcase and I usually just grab blindly. Maybe I should go in alphabetical order too!

"You may have tangible wealth untold;
Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold.
Richer than I you can never be--
I had a mother who read to me."

This reminds me of what I do
when I can't sleep. I pick either book titles or authors and try to go through and name one for each letter of the alphabet. I usually get distracted and start thinking about the books. And once I stop worrying about not being able to sleep I doze off.
I can't think of an x either.
I got sidetracked by kids and housework stuff
they're at school today (or will be leaving for school in forty minutes time) so I'll have a little tranquillity to look into X later

Well, in my list, I had no Us and no X authors, but I did have two Vs - Rachel Vincent - writes the werecat series - Stray and Rogue - and Evelyn Vaughn - who has tons of great books, but I don't think she has anything new this year. Interesting challenge.

X suggestion
Roses for Katie by Dilys Xavier (Wild Rose Press, Aug 07)
that smile is because it isn't that easy to look up books by surname beginning with X (and for a while it looked like the only possibilities were going to be erotica, gay or otherwise)

Another challenge!
I don't do to well with some of these challenges! I think I'll just stick with the one here to read!!
That is an interesting list & probably fun to do. If I find any X's I'll let you know.
