Are These Books Put to Bed?
Hello Donna:
When you provide excerpts does that mean the book is finished and put to bed? Or are you still writing the book?

It's done
I never post excerpts on my site until the book is in, revised, and I've done the galleys so I have a title and release date.
However I take my excerpt from my revised manuscript, so if it is different from the actual book it's because a word or two has been changed during copy editing. But at that point it really is a word. Or maybe two. LOL.

Great scene, but now I wanna dance with him. 
Lucy is nuts to be pouting. A guy that wants to dance with you and actually CAN is worth his weight in gold!

I read the excerpt, Donna....
Your H sounds very romantic in Falling for Mr. Dark and Dangerous! I like intimate, old-fashioned gesture of him kissing the h's hand. It's a simple act - delicate, but sexy. Also, maybe it's just me, but I also value the setting details, like when your H entered the h's private bathroom and smelled the cinnamon and apples coming from a scented oil dispenser. Also the soft lighting. Helps bring it to life! I can very much imagine that bathroom.
My hubby and I happen to LOVE staying in B&Bs. IMHO, no hotel can rival them!
I'm waiting on your The Soldier's Homecoming. And I'll have to order this book, too!

[[[Donna]]], I read The Soldiers Homecoming! I have to say that I don't think I've ever read a story that dealt with the issue of post traumatic distress in soldiers the way your book did. It was incredibly touching! Jonas and Shannyn seemed quite real to me. I posted a review to add to all the others for your book!
I'm going to order Falling For Mr. Dark and Dangerous as soon as it becomes available here in the U.S.

I started with a song for TRRP book, and then as I was writing the last third I realized I'd got it wrong. I downloaded a new one, sat here and bawled and the ending pretty much wrote itself.
I had to go back and make a change to an older scene because of it, but then it was one of those things that brought it together in my mind so clearly.
I have done the galleys for TRRP, and I know we don't have favourites but when I read it I realized there IS something magical about it for me.
