Okay, forgive me, I can't help but show this picture off. This was a big day for Katie. She hates that school is over for the year!
Harlequin, you're looking at a future reader (only the sweeter Harl and Love Inspired lines when she's a teen). She's already reading easy chapter books and tested on a third grade reading level. I'm so proud of her. Thanks for reading my mommy-boasting blog!
(Shew, Jayne, I almost couldn't get this pic to post at first. Thought I was going to have to beg you to help me! I'm no tech genius, that's for sure! LOL)

Oh, isn't she adorable?? What a cutie!
My kindergartner isn't having a graduation, as far as I know. Nobody has told me he is. LOL

Thanks, Kristen...
She's my only one so I have to brag on her a little. But, to be honest with you, this picture makes the graduation look a lot more formal than it really was. The teacher took this photo ahead of time along with all the other kids, and then passed them out with the diplomas in the classroom during a little program and photo slide presentation. Not anything elaborate, and it was even held during school hours. So, maybe they're going to hand out diplomas in your little boy's room, too? Is this his last day? Or does he go next week?

OMG, she reminds me so much
OMG, she reminds me so much of my "baby" who is now 16 and 5'10" tall. My girl was reading the unabridged version of Little Women the summer after K and she also had long blond hair in Kindy. Your daughter is sooooooo adorable. You must be very proud. Thanks for sharing the picture.
Nancy
Thanks so much, Nancy...
... for your compliments! About the blonde hair, I never would've expected that my DH and I would have a blonde daughter. We're both dark-headed. DH did have lighter hair when he was a little boy, though - so that's probably why she has it.
Is the sixteen-year-old your youngest? 5'10'? Wow. I wish I was that tall. I'd kill for an added inch or two! She's lucky.
Yes, reading is definitely one of Katie's favorite things to do, and she keeps a journal. She's also into carrying a little hand-sized notepad around with her and writing out lists of all kinds... not sure what the deal is with that - LOL. I encourage her, though. Reading and literature can't be stressed enough for kids today. It's opened up a whole world for me. And it brings tears to my eyes to see the growing wonder of books light up my baby's face.

Adorable
Thanks for sharing the picture of Katie. She looks so sweet, and boy does that bring back memories for me! My little lovebug is 13 now and jumps from being his normal affectionate self to the surly teen several times a day! My 26 year old daughter is a Katie too.
Of course, he is also dealing with growing several inches in several months and the voice change!
