I have been away a week or so because hubby is back from Honduras. We have visited all the stores/restaurants around here as he is getting acclimated to being back in the states.
Now I will be in Vegas for 6 days but have some books to read and I promise to blog them when I get back.
We always visit the relatives in PA during the summer. Many military families spend their leave and money doing this and never take vacations for the fun of it. I do have family in Vegas but we are going to have fun and fit in family when we can. it is the one place my hubby wanted to visit before he has to start here at his new base. The difference is we have kids now and our vacation will be less about gambling and more about the attractions. (I have seen the dolphins enough but my 8yr old wants to see them again.)
Also, I turned 42 yesterday and my boys made sure when they went shopping for gifts/cake with their dad that they advised anyone within a ten foot radius how old their mom was!

I had a nap which was the highlight of my day. With the kids off for summer it was nice to have some time to myself while my hubby took the kids shopping.

Argh! I'm behind! I have noticed that you've been away. Missed you. Glad your DH is enjoying his time back in the US and that your family is once again complete and safe. Vegas? Sure, there's plenty to do there besides gambling, although fewer things are better than winning some extra greenback. That place is a vacationers paradise. Did you take at least one pic of a fake Elvis while you were there?
Right now I'm picturing in my mind that crazy video and song from Carrie Underwood - 'Last Name'. It was shot in Vegas (and with Elvis). LOL

Oh, boy...
...do I understand about sharing computers! If my DH borrows mine I get wadded up inside. He tends to open up a lot of stuff that I don't. And sometimes, maybe it's in my head, but 'Put-Put' as I call my beloved pet computer, sometimes doesn't run as quickly. A couple of times she's had to be rebooted. I'm not sure what DH does exactly, but he scares me to death - LOL! Anyway, have fun with your inlaws. I'm getting ready to leave for my vacation in the morning. Going to Mammoth Caves.
