I went my first ever booksigning today.

It's true.  I have never been to a booksigning until today.  And let me tell you, I jumped in head first!  It was Shiloh Walker and Lora Leigh!  They are both so wonderful.  I took four books to be signed (I didn't dare take all forty-plus I have between the two combined).  And then I bought a few others that I didn't have yet.

I spoke with them for several minutes.  And I got to meet, in person, a Lady that I talk to on Lora Leigh's forum.  She was such a sweetie.  I left with book/author recommendations from her, newly signed Lora and Shiloh books and lots and lots of happiness.

Sounds like a great day!

Sounds like a great day! I would like to meet Lora Leigh and tell her what great imagination she uses in her books. She has awesome story lines.

Cool!

I love book signings.  At the library in the nearest city to where I live, they had a author day.  Several authors came and set up little mini stations to sign autographs and to talk about their projects.  They weren't romance writers (at least not for Harlequin), but it was still pretty awesome having so many congregated in one spot - sort of like a fair.  That was nothing however to the one YOU just went to!  You did at least tell them that you had all those books of theirs, didn't you? Wink

This is a bit off-subject, but I won some autographed books from Samantha James in a contest a couple of weeks ago!  Got them in the mail.  She's on the best seller's list for her The Secret Of Simon Blackwell and The Seduction Of An Unknown Lady.  I've read her other books, too, but I've never met her in person.  You better believe that if she's ever in this area, I'll be walking over heads to get there!  <GG>

That is totally awesome!!

That is totally awesome!!  I'd so love to go to a book signing especially with two such great authors as Shiloh Walker and Lora Leigh.  But that is never going to happen as I live in a small town on a small island on the east coast of Canada.  Hense, no one ever comes this way.Frown

That being said I am so happy, Jill, that you got the opportunity to meet them amd get some of your books signed!

Julz,

picture taking was okay but I got so excited that I forgot to ask.  I'm pathetic that way.

Oh what fun!

I'm envious, but in a really good way!

I am not familiar with

these authors.  I may have to check them out.

I have been to a few book book signings.  I have been to several where Viggo Mortensen was signing his books.  He is so great, I go see him everytime he is in the LA area.

More recently I  saw Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City, Lipstick Jungle), and Jackie Collins.  they were really nice and took time with each person, signed books and took pix with anyone who asked.

Julz...

Next time will either be in two weeks with JR Ward in Radcliff KY or in September at RAW where there is over 20 authors scheduled.  Either way, next time I WILL take pics.  Unless I get bit by the shy bug again.  haha

Shy???

Nah, not you!  I think you'll probably be in 99% of those pics!  Wink
