First of all, I have read 56 books so far. But, when e-harlequin said they were on Facebook, I quickly joined Facebook form e-harlequin.. Before I knew it, I was asking old friends to be my Facebook friends, I was making many new friends. My friends sent me flowers for my garden, fish for my Sea garden, more flowers, food, drinks, virtual pets. games, music, videos, books and so much more. Now, i spend my nights on Facebook , when I used to read. I fear my June total may be my worst month yet. The only hope is I will take a two week vacation in July and with no computer access, I hope to catch up on my reading before I get back to the very addictive Facebook.

LOL, I know what you mean by these virtual addictions! I'm kind of that way about here on eharl. However, I still make time for reading - mostly in the evenings since I'm writing during the day hours, and logging on here during my breaks. Don't worry about the Facebook. After a while it will grow old to you, and you'll be craving your books again. Remember back when we were kids and we got a new toy? It might've distracted us from our favorite hobby for a while, but then the newness would wear off and we'd be right back to our hobby. I wouldn't worry too much. There is no computer in the world that could take the place of a book (or at least an ebook)!

I have been distracted lately and my totals are slowing. I did that with Shelfari but now I can't keep up.] with my books. Might be better since we have a wireless laptop. Until then my computer was downstairs and my books upstairs.

when I first joined shelfari I was addicted to that. still am but make myself only spend so much time there. Same here because if I don't I'd be here all day and nothing would ever get done.
