 Deb aka nm8r67 from our very own Writer's Challenge board is a finalist in lit agent Rachelle Gardner's very short (100 words) story contest here:

The following is was my writer's challenge post on her entry:

Ah....and I see that Deb has given the news of her awesome accomplishment on Rachelle's blog. From the picture prompt that was given, Rachelle confirmed that it was just a prompt and that you could take the story anywhere you wanted. But it's amazing how many of those 123 entries stayed within the box and wrote boring life stories. Deb didn't. Actually, you have to look real hard to see what prompted her story but it's there and she did great. And that's what Rachelle saw as well.

For my entry on Rachelle's contest, I went so far out of the box that I thought people would laugh at me entry but I knew I'd have to do something 'different' to catch Rachelle's attention.

So, Deb gave you the address for Rachelle's blog in the above post, I urge you to go over there and vote. There are 6 short I repeat short  entries to choose from and although I'm not going to ask you to vote for nm8r67 aka Deb if there's another you like better, it sure would be nice if 'one of our own'   won.

What will she win? Rachelle's prize is: Winner gets to choose between a $20 Amazon gift card or an evaluation of the WIP of your choice (WIP=work in progress) , either a query, a book proposal, or the first ten pages of a novel.

How awesome is that? And FYI, Rachelle runs one of these contest almost monthly and usually a prize is her personal evaluation of a wip.
