Well, well, well... here it is, July 1st (Happy Birthday Canada!) and it's been a real ride, but....
Holy cats... just where the heck did half a year go?
In June I did not too badly... 25 books (that count to my totals... I actually read at least one book that wasn't countable, but... I needed it!) My eHarlequin totals are still in good shape: 15 (of 25) for June and 123 (of 185) for the YTD. The list of my reads for June are:
- Anne Stuart ~ Fire and Ice (4.5 stars)
- Marie Ferrarella ~ Five-Alarm Fire (4.0 stars)
- Terry Essig ~ Fearless Father (4.5 stars)
- Penny Jordan ~ Levelling the Score (4.5 stars)
- J. R. Ward ~ Lover Enshrined (5.0 ++ stars)
- Anthology ~ No Rest for the Witches (4.0 stars)
- Jayne Ann Krentz ~ Sizzle and Burn (4.5 stars)
- Christine Rimmer ~ His Executive Sweetheart (4.5 stars)
- Janice Kay Johnson ~ The New Man (4.0 stars)
- Leslie Kelly ~ One Wild Wedding Night (4.5 stars)
- Tessa Radley ~ Pride & A Pregnancy Secret (4.5 stars)
- Kathleen O'Reilly ~ Beyond Breathless (4.0 stars)
- Kimberly Raye ~ Breathless (4.5 stars)
- Georgia Bockoven ~ If I'd Never Known Your Love (5.0 ++ stars)
- Heather Graham Pozzessere ~ Forever My Love (3.5 stars)
- Sharon Sala ~ Deep in the Heart (4.5 stars)
- Bella Andre ~ Take Me (4.0 stars)
- Diane Pershing ~ Ransom (4.5 stars)
- Trish Wylie ~ Rescued: Mother-to-Be (4.5 stars)
- Kelley Armstrong ~ Broken (5.0 stars)
- Kelley Armstrong ~ No Humans Involved (4.5 stars)
- Angela Knight ~ Mercenaries (anthology) (4.0 stars)
- Anthology ~ What Happens in Vegas (4.0 stars)
- Anthology ~ Temperature's Rising (4.5 stars)
- Anthology ~ Rescue Me (4.0 stars)
The titles that are bolded are all harlequin imprints of one or another. As to how I have so many high ratings this month, I think part of the reason is that quite a few of them were books that were very highly recommended last year... they definitely rate high for me!
- 2 books rated 5.0++
- 1 book rated 5.0
- 13 books rated at 4.5 stars
- 8 books rated 4.0 stars
- and only one ended up at 3.5... not too shabby, am I right?
For the month of July I am going to concentrate on catching up on my series reading. A little more on that tomorrow when I can keep my eyes open...
'Night all!

Can't believe it's half over
Happy Canada Day
yup can't believe this is half over. After all the cleaning, reorganizing and painting at the beginning of the month I still managed 22 books(probably more but some were only like -100 pages so I counted two as one) and for other totals I'm in good shape. my har/sil to other ratio is 93/29(YTD) and my TBR/new ratio is 48/74 (YTD) (it was 9/13 for June)

July's MEMBER OF THE MONTH
Hey Christa... CONRATULATIONS on Member of the Month!
... Really have to look at the calendar idea for all you winners!
Your totals are really good... I gave up quite awhile ago keeping track of TBR versus New... kinda depressing it was. And 22 books when you were painting and stuff? Yowza! You're super-reader....

Happy Canada Day
Just wanted to wish a happy year to all the Canadians out there reading and writing book reviews. It's it great that an addiction to reading can provide free books to people.
When I get a little money I buy books, and then if any is left I buy food and clothes..-- Erasmus
Awesome totals, Kathy ....
what an interesting mix ..... and I see a few that are on my tbr :)
catching up on series actually sounds like a good idea .... I was thinking of catching up on a some of my older autobuy authors that have taken the back burner for the new authors I've found ...

Thank you ...
Kaelee.... and the whole idea of providing books for literacy is awesome... some heavy-duty Kudos to eHarlequin for their fantastic initiative!
Katherine, Hey! How've you been? I'm finding that I'm around a little more now than I was last month... so maybe I'll run into you again!

And as for the catching up... Hoo boy; I've got sitting in a box right beside me now, 18 non-category romances all part of series that I'm actively reading... And if I were to add category books? Uh, the total would be just a teensy bit higher....
I need to get working on these so that:
A.) I can get to the next slew of new series releases
B.) I can make, I hope, a more lasting dent in my TBR....
We'll see I guess how that goes in a month. Should be interesting anyway!
