Landan, sunday evening, aprox. 1 1/2 days old here.
Same age/time as above picture, after dad did diaper change and right before he starts to let mom know he's hungry. Also the first time Ken & I saw his eyes open.

Congrats! I didn't know it was already time for him it doesn't seem like that long ago that you told us you'd just found out you were going to be a Grandma. He is precious and I know you're going to love being a grandma. I sure do. I'm seeing my girls next week and can't wait.

Thanx bunches Margie, Debi & Chy. Crystal and Chad just left with Landan, so i really should be running to bed...morning comes fast when you have to work.... but i just had to stop by and see if anyone had visited here.
I love that i recently figured out how to get photobucket to work for me.
Chad & Crystal put Landan in his car seat on our couch when they got here and when Chad picked up the baby seat to go home, there was baby poop all over the blanket that was on our couch. Chad started to laugh.
Anyway, Chad took baby out to the kitchen to change him on the table, with a change pad(we all followed of course)...but while washing him down, he started to pee all over so Chad was scrambling to get everything out of the way...this time they both started laughing(and us too because they found it so funny)...next thing we know he burped up and then peed all over Chad. Crystal was laughing so hard there was concern she'd burst her stitches. They were so funny. lol

Hi Amanda and thank you so much. You are correct in that in the last pic he's wanting something that requires being picked up. I have the picture that directly followed that one, and he's letting his mom know he's hungry...it was the calm before the storm lol. I'll try and post it, as i think it's real cute as well, and his cute little gums are showing.

Hi ElleJay, and thank-you thank-you. The name Landan is just one they both liked and agreed on. But the middle name has signifigance...Landan Alex..with the Alex being Crystals stepfathers name who died of cancer several years ago. He'd been her dad since she was five, so every bit her only remembered father and very special to her.
I have to say i was very happy when they discovered the name Landan and picked it over the first one they'd agreed on.
Her mom and I both didn't care for it at all. It would've gave me nightmares. I even hate to say it here. lol

Hi Claire and thank-you very much. He's such a good 1st baby for them as well...he mostly sleeps about 4 1/2 hours between feedings. And since she had c-section, it will give her a good chance to rest and heal.

I just found this blog but had to add my congrats. Babies are such a blessing and especially a boy. (Sorry, a little biased as I have two sons.) I am teary just thinking about seeing one of my guys holding their own baby boy someday.

Thank-you very much Tammy! Actually, they live pretty much up the street from me. Although their on a different street, and it crosses a main street before it gets to them... they are only about a 3-4 minute walk from my house. They could live anywhere in Mackenzie and it would still be close to me. Mackenzie is not a very big place.
Crystal and Landan had their first doctors appointment yesterday, and Doctor was quite surprised that he had gained over a pound already. He's growing just like his dad did and gonna be a little porker. I love it.

Oh my... I knew that you were a grandma...
(and Congratulations once again!) but I missed this post...
Oh, I do soooo love the pictures Kathy! And babies, there really is nothing like them! He really is a beautiful, beautiful baby and I think it's wonderful that Chad and Crystal live so close. As for the name, I think Landan is a great name ~ and having Crystal's stepfather's name as his second; that's wonderful... keeping family connections with names is something I really enjoy.
So yes, any pictures that you want to post would be greatly appreciated.... they do grow up so darned fast!
