July 4th and I have nothing to show for it....

Oy!  What a beginning to the month.  I wasn't on the computer yesterday at all ~ instead I was on the third day of a migraine that had managed to sneak by me.  Who knew that on Tuesday, when I was feeling dizzy and nauseous, that it was the beginning of one of my very rare ~ Thank heaven!! ~ monster migraines?  Wednesday was pretty much the same thing, but Thursday morning... I was on my feet for all of maybe an hour.  My poor daughter!  I had the two little ones that I babysit over, not sure that Teresa was feeling all that either, and I'm either in the bathroom crouched before the porcelain throne, or out cold on the couch.  We, I say we but it was actually Teresa, called the mom and she left work and came to get them.  This family that I babysit for is amazing!  And their kids are a joy to have around... normal kids, but still great little ones.

Anyway it took me until the afternoon to realize that if I had some gravol or something I might not have to make the half-hourly run... and ~ Thank heaven again! ~ it worked.  Later that evening we headed out to the clinic to get something for the pain and came away with some tylenol 3's.... and that was pretty much that.  Today, I feel like I've just come off a week-long bender ~ not that I really know how that would feel, but it's sure how I think it would feel.  Weak like a baby and about as helpful.  So here it is 6:30 pm on Friday night and I'm finally starting to feel human again.  Sheesh!

So once again, to all you who are south of the border ~ the Canadian border ~ have a wonderful Fourth!  Laughing

Oh yeah... and reading... I'm still in the first quarter of Lora Leigh's Killer Secrets... gah!  Only a migraine could stop me from reading for almost 4 days!  Here's hoping that the rest of the weekend is a little more productful.

Kathy sorry to hear that

Kathy sorry to hear that you have been feeling so miserable.  I'm glad that you are starting to feel better now!!

I haven't been feeling the best myself but not as sick as you have been.  I just have a chest cold with a bad cough.  I am pooped from coughing and if I'm not feeling any better by Monday I'm going to visit the walk-in clinic at my doctor's office.

Here's to getting back to reading Kathy!!

MY BOOK REVIEWS

UGH!

Shelley, it sounds like you're not doing any better!  Not being able to stop coughing gets tiring pretty quickly... and a friend of mine ~ she works at the U of A (University of Alberta) says that there are soooo many people coming in with what sounds like you have (does that make any sense?  I'm not able to really tell.... Embarassed),

Take care of yourself this weekend and get better ~ or get to the doctor posthaste!

kalyko ~ Reading: One of life's little joys and a much needed reward!

Glad you're feeling a little better, Kalyko!

My niece suffers terribly from migraines.  She's only sixteen, and they hit her so hard that all she can do is lay in her room in the dark, because the light makes the pain worse.

It stinks not being able to read when you really want to and yet can't.  Anyway, I hope you'll be able to enjoy the rest of your story now with relaxation and comfort.  Smile
