Photographic Evidence

Photographic evidence of my fabulous day at the library....

My co-workers and friends (a truly fun and supportive group)

The cake! (it was worth the WW points *g)

The book discussion! (I have no idea why I look so intense. Jeesh.)

*********
WRITING: Making major headway on the synopsis. Yes!
RECREATION: None.
EXERCISE: Zip. Came straight home from work and started typing. My fingers and brain got exercised plenty.
DIET: Weigh-in was this morning. I didn't lose any pounds this week. *Sigh* It must have been the cake. Oh, and I didn't watch my portions as well as I should have this past week. At least I didn't gain any weight. I'm still 10 pounds lighter than I was. This week I'll do better. I'm determined!
MOOD: Good. Determined.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Really, in the end, the only thing that can make you a writer is the person that you are, the intensity of your feeling, the honesty of your vision, the unsentimental acknowledgment of the endless interest of the life around and within you. Virtually nobody can help you deliberately -- many people will help you unintentionally." -- Santha Rama Rau

That icing looks so good...

Awesome pics. I haven't been very active in the local library here because I go to the one on our air force base. (I will have to venture there to see if they have events planned like the one you had yesterday.)

I miss the comraderie of co-workers as a stay-at-home mom. It looks like you have a great bunch of ladies at the library and maybe a big pool of possible story ideas(?)

Most libraries feature all kinds of special events. Everything from stortytime to crafts for kids and adults. We also host a knitting club and quilters club. This summer we're having Wii bowling tournaments every Friday. And that's just a few of the things ur library sponsers. So, yes, be sure to check out your local library and see what they have to offer you and the kids.

I have to admit, although I do just fine as a loner, I really do enjoy spending the day with the people I work with. Plus, they're great when I have a research question! Laughing

How neat--sounds and looks

How neat--sounds and looks like you have a supportive group of co-workers.

Nancy

You can...

..say that again, Nancy. My co-workers are VERY supportive. In addition to helping me with research and celebrating my milestones, they also read my books and most of them aren't 'romance' readers. That's support. :)

Gotta love those hats, Beth! LOL

I found and ordered The Fall Of Rome, by the way.  Can't wait to read it!

I think it's great that your coworkers/friends are obviously fans, too.  Encouragement from those who enjoy and respect your writing makes all the difference in the world.

The cake is awesome!  Which brings me to my next comment... judging from the pics, you don't look like you need to lose any more weight.  You appear healthy and happy.

So do you look serious in the last pic during the book discussion?  Sure.  But writing is serious, even when the content is light and humorous.  In fact it's hard work writing a story that seems effortlessly hilarious.  Am I talking in circles here?  I'm sure you know what I mean.  Laughing

Amanda...

Thank you for ordering THE FALL OF ROME. I hope you enjoy it. It's a bit more intense than the Evie series, but there are doses of humor to be sure. :)

As to the weight los, now that I've seen what a difference losing ten pounds made on my frame, I do believe my initial goal of losing twenty was overboard. I would however like to lose an additional five. It's all in the portion you couldn't see since I'm sitting down in that pic. Wink  You're right though... I am healthy and happy. Thank goodness. Sending some sunshine an inspiration your way!
