My husband Glenn just went on a second round of now much stronger antibiotics. The burn on his foot is looking very good and healing fast but the cellulitis just was not completely gone (much better but not gone--sstill swollen and some faint pinkness above the ankle where the burn is not) when he finished the first round. Our family doctor prescribed a much stronger one for a 5 day cycle which he started yesterday.
We are both just beat. I felt like a zombie yesterday.I think I am going to take a break from most internet pleasure activities for a while. I am reading and will blog maybe some over the weekend if I can get more sleep. I have read some great books but I just want more sleep and household peace because they were such great reads. Last night he picked up some McDonald's salads on the way home, we took care of the pets, climbed into bed and had dinner in bed and then read and slept. It was wonderful and I could use a couple more days of that--- days of reading and sleep! I am sure the rest for him over the weekend can only help. I think maybe it is the accumulated fatigue and stress of one thing after another almost back to back that just has us beat.
I really hope this round of antibiotics gets rid of this cellulitis with a minimum of side effects over the weekend! I hate to complain when so many people deal with worse things but I am tired, plain and simple exhausted. I am sure worry is part of that.

Merri...
UGH! I hope you get the rest you need. It's hard when things are going crazy in your life, and I think the medical stuff is the worst. I've been dealing with my mom in and out of the hospital since April, and what I really crave is time to do....NOTHING. Just me, a book, and my bed.
Hope Glenn is on the mend soon!

Reading and sleeping...
...probably really are your best medicines right now, Merri, and I hope you get lots of both. Just make sure you drink plenty of liquids even if you don't eat as much, because they'll help you rejuvenate faster too.
Take care, and I hope you both feel better tomorrow...at least by Sunday!
