I posted this on my My Space blog as well since I know LOTS of HQ readers and writers are over there as well.
I'm sitting at about 90 books right now and that 100th will be hit by the end of this month. Like last year, I want to pick a special book to read for #100. And also like last year, it's going to be a Harlequin line book. I want it to be something that stands out and that others really enjoyed. So I need YOUR Help.
I have picked a few lines that I'm going to choose from - Love Inspired Suspense, Everlasting Love (or one of the EL titles for SuperRomance), Nocturne, Luna. I chose these lines since I've bought most if not all of the books in each of the listed lines.
So if you read any of those lines, tell me what WAS your favorite book that you read in the line. But please tell me WHY you loved thebook. Don't just list a title and author. I want to know what it was about the book that grabbed your attention. If you've blogged it this year in the challenge, let me know so I can try to read your review. It doesn't have to be a current or even recent. It can be an older one in the line from a couple years ago. If I've already read your suggestion I'll tell you. If it's one of the few in the line I haven't bought, I'll tell you.
I only have about a week to do this since I leave for vacation on the 25th and while on vacation is when I expect to hit #100. I'm going to read all the comments with your suggestions and I'll pick one from those suggestions and it will be my book 100.
So help me pick a winner! To give you an idea, last year's 100th read was The Dark Gate by Pamela Palmer. I chose that one because so many people raved about it and I'm glad I did since it was fantastic! It was so good I STILL remember it was my 100th read last year when I couldn't tell you what any of the others were That I read without the old blog entries. :-)

Not sure what Lunas or
Not sure what Lunas or Nocturnes, you have or haven't read. I really enjoyed Fortune's Fool by Mercedes Lackey. Loved the way the family twists the public perception of the H and h. To me, the characters are like many public sector employees - working hard to improve people's general security with little recognition. Another suggestion would be Rhyannon Byrd's Wolf series. Hard to say why exactly it worked for me, I think it had to do with the connection between the leads. (I did blog those this year, FF was last year and I didn't keep my reviews from then.) I haven't read any LIS and only a few ELs, so no suggestions for them.

Have you read...
Lori Devoti's Silhouette Nocturnes? I reviewed those um, last year I think. I haven't read the newest one yet but she creates this alternate world and a hellhound is one of the heroes. Gotta love that sort of creativity!

Have you read Gena
Have you read Gena Showalter's The Darkest Night? It is the first book in the Lord's of the Underworld series. It is an HQN release, and I loved it. I just blogged about it.

Cady - I've onlyread a couple of the Lunas and Nocturnes, not verymany though I buy themall of them which Is why I want to pick from the lines I listed for my 100th read. So none of the ones you listd I've read yet
Debbie - I've heard about those but haven't gotten to them yet so good ideas.
KimP - I listed specific lines to choose from for my 100th read. i actually have all the Showlaters in her new series in audio and I'm wanting to read a PB book for book 100. I listed a few specific lines in my post. So if you have any suggestions in those lines, please feel free list them for me.

If you haven't read
If you haven't read Mercedes Lackey - The Fairy Godmother, that would be my first recommendation. It is the first in the series and is wonderful to anyone who enjoyed the Grimm tales as a child.

I did read Fariy Godmother
I did read Fariy Godmother as soon as it came out. but that's the only one I read in the series so far. I've bought all of them in the series as they've been released though. In fact I have The Snow Queen twice, in hardcover AND audio.

Hey Kelley - did you deliberately wait until I was gone on
holiday to post this
I've only read one Everlasting Love so far - The House on Briar Hill Road by Holly Jacobs - I really enjoyed that one, if you haven't already read it - I liked that it showed how a couple didn't necessarily get together quickly, and that even after they'd accepted love and marriage, they could encounter (and overcome) problems

No more excuses, just READ!
Sorry about that... I
Sorry about that... I haven't read any Luna's yet, I do have one waiting.
But Nocturne - Michele Hauf - His Forgotten Forever. It had some great twists in it. It follows Kiss Me Deadly, which was released in Sept 07.
