Header Promotion
Some of you know I'm in Las Vegas this week for work. (With all the evenings free!) I'm not a gambler so really have no interest in the whole casino thing except to visit a few and see what they look like. But there was one thing I absolutely HAVE to do while here and that of course is to see one of the shows Vegas is famous for. And for me, top priority is a Cirque du Soleil show. I saw a traveling show a few years back when one came through Dallas and I absolutely LOVED it! And I've heard their shows in Vegas are the best in the world that they do. So my big hope was to snag a ticket to a show without bankrupting myself. There are five different ones here and i didn't care which one I saw, I just wanted to see one of them.
Well I went to the ticket office at the Bellagio yesterday to see if i could find a ticket. And I go tone! I'm so excited! And even better, I got a ticket for the one of their shows that was my first choice. AND it didn't break the bank. It actually cost right about what I thought it would and the most I was willing to pay. So Thursday night I have a ticket to go see "O," which is a show that combines a lot of synchronized swimming with aerial acrobatics. I can't wait!

thanks Nancy - I'm looking forward to it. I've wanted to see anotehr CdS show ever since I saw Varekai a few years ago. So I'm jumping up and down over the chance to see one here.
Janet - glad to hear you liked it enough to see it more than once. From all the descriptions I looked up before going to try and get a ticket, this one looked like the most fascinating one. So I am quite lucky I was able to get a ticket to my first choice show. :-)

Sounds fun! I love watching swimming and air stunts. Probably because I'm a chicken and only dream of being able to do stuff like that (I can barely dive off a board). Have a great time! Wish I was there....

Lucky you! Have lots of fun watching your show. I was really lucky to get great tickets for my family and friends to Mystere at the Treasure Island and we all loved it. It was amazing.
There was a funny part where some of the cast, dressed up as birdlike creatures come out into the audience. One started stepping on the arms of the seats and ended up on my mothers seat with his/her butt in the air and nose to nose with my mom. It was so funny. Those performers are so strong and talented. It is one of the best shows I've ever seen. I wish we could have seen the other shows while there but were lucky to see this one.
