For as long as DD's had summer breaks, I've said the words "Bored is a
choice. Find something to do." I usually say the words the first time
around July 5 and then a million times over until school starts again.
ll these years I've totally believed the words.
After 23 days of bed rest I've changed my mind.
UGH!
I should get an e-Harlequin shipment tomorrow, so that SHOULD help. I have no romances left on my TBR, and that's a problem!

I love that saying!
I will have to pass that on to my niece. When I was kidsitting just after school got out, I read her house rules for the summer and the last item on the list was:
It is not mom's job to entertain you. Find something to do yourself.
The other rules had to do with not spending too much time watching tv, on the computer or on WII, reading each day and going outside when it was nice to get excersize.
Isn't it a fact that some of the things we do and say come back to haunt us though. As you can tell I am bored so am blogging as it's so new to me.

I love that!
Will keep it in mind when I'm complaining about being bored, LOL.

Nice list
I think I'll add that list to my "bored is a choice" saying...once I'm off bedrest. The list also reminded me I have a PlayStation 2 and Ratchet and Clank. Haven't played in a couple years because I'm with Ratchet and Clank the way I am with potato chips and Godiva. Once I start I can't stop.
LOL Sam.
On a bright note I got my shipment TONIGHT! I have:
Gena Showalter's The Darkest Pleasure
Wendy Markham's SlightlyMarried and Slightly Suburban
Brenda Novak's Stop Me
Nicola Cornick's Unmasked
Raeanne Thayne's A Soldier's Secret
Karen Templeton's A Mother's Wish
and
Helen R. Myers' The Last Man She'd Marry
WOO HOOOOOOOOO!!! Romances!!!
I have the last three books on your list
so now I can read Raeanne's and Karen's trilogies when I finish some of my library books. Glad your boredom will be gone for a bit. Enjoy your reading and take care of your ankle.

MaryBeth - bored IS a choice, when you're able-bodied
being subject to bed-rest is a whole different ballgame, because it limits your choices
so you were RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT
and even reading gets old when you can't choose to do something else
It's staying in the same space all the time that's boring
Hope life improves soon

No more excuses, just READ!
You're right
It is the no choice thing that makes this such a pain! :-)
I have, however, discovered Facebook, and it's a MAJOR time suck. For once that's a good thing!
