I must be going for

the teenager look this year.  My daughter picked my PJs out for me.  So I'll be the one dressed like a 13 year old.  Smile

I'm going for Comfort

I just bought a set of black velour pj's to lounge around in. This will be my first pj party, and a chance to get to know some of the writers I've met on the boards.

Although I've been to RWA nationals before, I always seem to miss out on the PJ party. I can't wait!Cool

It's cool, Ellen!

I think the more eHQ folks know what's happening there, the better stories WE get to hear about! LOL!

Thanks, Dee!

Last year I didn't hear about the PJ party until the next day. Boo hoo.

This year I knew enough to ask early and often until someone let the location slip. Wink

I'm packing now!

We made it

Christyne and I have made it to San Fran.  We checked into our hotel yesterday and immediately went out in search of food.  We walked the couple of blocks around the Marriott and did some shopping.  The weather is wonderful!!  So much nicer than the 100+ degrees I left behind at home.  But we're still on TN and MA time, so we called it a night early and got some extra sleep last night.  Now we're getting ready to go exploring some more today.

Green is so not my colour!

I wish I was coming along to the PJ party this year. So far, my first and only one was at Reno and that was FUN! Anyway, I shall stay here at my computer living vicariously through everyone's wonderful tales and wishing I was there.

All the best for a fantabulous conference and celebrations!

Is this where we...

get the good gossip on what's happening at RWA????  I wanted to go, but couldn't.  Next year though, DC is a hop, skip and a jump for me...so i should be there!

I'll spread the word about the PJ party on Thursday.

Hi everyone,

I volunteered stuffing conference tote bags with the freebie books today.....attendees are getting some GREAT books this year!  (So, if you're attending....your tote bag may have been assembled "with love" by yours truly)!  LOL

Checked out where the conference stuff is kicking off....I can't wait for the official conference start!!

A PJ party sounds like fun. Hope everyone is having a blast! Maybe I'll make it next year!

Can't Wait

For the P.J. party. I had so much fun last year. And I'm going to remember to take some cash for the wet bar.

All, I want to know who will bring the blow up doll this year? We must make it a tradition.

Super Party

We had a great time at the Super Readers party. Tons of good company, all the wine was gone and most of the water--the room was a little warm! The trivia game ended with 11 very satisfied winners.

I was delighted to meet some eHQ friends in person including Christyne and Kathleen G. I hope everyone had a good time!

I've been collecting books and goodies for the Wish You Were Here prize we're giving away in the Super Party thread. If anyone wants to enter, the thread is here: Wish You Were Here Prize .

Ellen

P.S. I had a scheduling snafu and went out looking for the PJ party LAST night. Hee. I'll be going back again tonight. Wink

Me thinks it went well...

It's not so much that people get wasted there. It's more that they OD on the candy bars... LOL! Ah, Friday at Nationals. Just about everyone is starting to feel the lack of sleep and they're using foul language at the Continental breakfast, but by now everyone should be at speed and getting ready for the Harlequin Party.

I wonder if they'll have that chocolate fountain again this year?

I'm allergic..

but it was a sight to see! And they have all this stuff to get dunked. I've been lobbying for a white choco fountain, but so far, no dice.

Someday.

So Fun

The PJ party was a blast. Way too much candy, popcorn, pretzels, and other good stuff. It was so neat to meet the Harlequin authors. They seem so much more human sitting around in their jammies too. Laughing I'm so glad I was able to go.

There is a great video by Barbara Vey of Publishers Weekly.

PJ Party makes Publisher's Weekly

Here is the link to Barbara's drive by video of all of us at the PJ Party!

Funny story is that she actually ended up leaving her camera in the Harlequin suite after the party.  I found it and brought it back to my hotel room.  I figured it was hers after reading on her blog that she'd lost it, and due to the wonders of technology, we connected and I delivered it to her the next morning at her hotel.

Bernadette -- I'm sorry I missed meeting you at the literary signing -- what a madhouse!  I was one of the volunteers unpacking all those books that morning.  Glad you had fun and hope that everyone attending had a wonderful time!    Cool
