Ta-da!
I know some of you have been complaining (and it's a lovely compliment, btw!) about having to wait 2 months for my next Brotherhood of the Badge book from Intrigue to come out.
But here's a teaser--I just got my cover this morning. When I told the art department my guy needed to be armed to the teeth, they did it! Another cool cover, imo. Kudos to the art department.
Here's the back cover blurb:
She had no memory of witnessing a murder,
But someone suspected otherwise...
Liza Parrish was nobody special--until she witnessed a murder that had the entire police department reeling. Only traumatic amnesia kept her from remembering the killer's identity. With the city's finest at her disposal, she needed the bravest man to provide top-notch protection.
Holden Kincaid was KCPD's number one sharpshooter, and he was desperate for answers regarding his father's murder. Unfortunately, being so close to the case, he was denied access to their irresistible material witness...until the security of her whereabouts was compromised. Taking Liza into his very personal custody would definitely keep her safe--from everyone but himself.
I'm psyched. I hope it's enough to keep those of you who've been kind enough to read the first two books going another month until it's available here on eHQ September 1st.
Oh, and have I mentioned I'll be giving away a copy during my Summer Book Giveaway contest at my website? It starts August 1st. I'll have the details up soon!

And on a completely different note...
Sometimes, it's hard to come up with things to blog about. Would you guys be interested in some how-to's/helpful hints/short tutorials for writing? Or more about books of interest (not just mine!)? Or the personal stuff? I do have a great picture of my brother over in Kosovo that I'll post soon--let you all see the "baby" brother I'm so proud of who's serving overseas.
Give me some feedback if you have a moment. I'm starting a file of ideas that I can pull from so I hopefully won't be sitting at my computer thinking, geez, what do I have to say that folks will be interested in hearing?
Thanks!
Julie

New Cover... HOLY CATS!
Julie, that is one drooly cover ~ I've gotta say! And I agree 110% that the art department has been doing one heckuva job on your covers ~ Wow! Scrumptious and Yummy are both words that just POP into mind.
As for blogging; well I love the idea of books of interest (being an inveterate reader and all); some personal stuff is always great (I mean that is how I found Scott's books after all!); writing tips? I'm not a writer ~ but my youngest daughter is... she's always writing. Right now most of what she does is anime fanfic and, IMHO (as well as my oldest daughter's), she's fantastic ~ but I know that a lot of the people here are writers... and definitely more power to anyone that can write from their imagination... beats me how it happens, but I do love the end results!
Honestly, anything that you write I'll read... and I'm sure that there are others out here that are also huge Julie Miller fans that have awesome ideas....
If you write it, I'll read it!

Hey Julie - awesome cover, the people in the art dept love
you, I suspect they read your books just as eagerly as the rest of us
As for blogging, write off the top of your head, that clears away the superfluous stuff and then you can go back to your WIP all full of concentration
I love to hear anything you'd like to tell me

What a terrific cover!
The art department must love you. The cover is terrific.
I'm excited to know that the witness Liza is the heroine. I wondered if she would end up with one of the brothers when we met her briefly in Armed and Desvestating.
I'm not much help in the blogging department as that is something that I haven't ever done, except for my book reviews here. I would say that whatever is on your mind is probably best. That seems like what most of the members here do.

Thanks for the feedback on
Thanks for the feedback on blogging, everyone! I really appreciate the idea of just speaking from the heart or off the top of my head.
And yes, I have been most fortunate with covers.
I've had some friends tell me that Holden Kincaid (the model on the cover, natch) reminds them of Brett Favre--the former?/future? quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. I can see it in the chiseled features, I think. Hmm... wonder what Brett was doing in the off season.
