And yeah, I know. Shameless promotion since I got to write the first chapter, but seriously, you should check it out. Rhonda gave us a great start (which gave me fits until I figured out where to go with it!). It's almost like the old Round Robin (except the writers have already been randomly chosen); Rhonda provided the opening, and will tie it up at the end.
Hmmm. Tied up. Fitting, considering the direction I chose to take the story.

Wow!! I am soooo impressed!!!
Hi Jodie, I sent you an email a few days back but I don't know it you got it or not. Just wanted to let you know how fantastic I think your chapter in pass the plot was (I know!! I'm a bit slow but I'm still working my way around all these forums and threads etc!!) Anyway, like everyone else has said, I can't wait to read one of your books when its published because you can write girl!!! Just wanted to let you know because I think us writers are too hard on ourselves sometimes. It was AWESOME.

Thank you so much! :-) I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now that school is about to start, life will get more "normal" for me (even though I'm working full time), so I'm hoping I'll have more time to write!
And hey, I clicked on your profile and see you do martial arts! Congrats on your black belt. I'm a measly green belt in Tae Kwon Do, but I'm working on it! My DD outranks me...she's a brown belt! Which martial art do you do?

The club I'm with is
The club I'm with is incorporated martial arts which basically means we do a bit of everything - hyungs, groundfighting, locks, holds, sparring, etc. My instructor has spent a lot of time out on the streets with the cops and he's basically thrown out everything that doesn't work when it comes to a real life situation which is quite cool. Yea, it was hard work getting to balck!!! I have a daughter that has just gotten her black belt and one plus my husband who are going for theirs in December. My youngest daughter wants to start (my son plays rugby) so there are quite a few martial artists in our house!!
What are you working on at the moment? School holidays start here (in NZ) in a couple of weeks I think - arghhh!!! the mess!!! - so I know how it is. I try and block my ears and write but it doesn't seem to work very well
Plus it always seems to be lunchtime when the kids are home ie Muuuumm, what's for luuuunnch?? Ok, now I'm rambling so I'll stop. Can't believe that you haven't been published yet though and, like you said before, wish the bites rejection notes had some advice and pointers on them. I am still waiting on my submission but I don't feel very hopeful
