Big Week Part 1

Yesterday, August 12th was the first part of our big week.  Our youngest son Brian turned 16.  For Brian this is great it means a license, the chance to get a job, and more independence.  For us it means Brian gets a license, will be out of the house without us more, and a huge dent in our checkbook to pay the insurance!

No one will freely admit it, but I think that everyone is betting how long it will be until Brian gets a car of his own.  Even I wonder how long that will take.  I'm trying to hold off, but I hate car sharing, so I think it will be sooner rather than later!

Part 2 of our big week will be coming this weekend.  Richard is supposed to be moving out.  Stay tuned to see if that truly happens, and how smoothly or not as the case may be.

my son is 20

and still doesn't have a liscense. He was told he has to be able to afford the insurance. I guess he figured if he couldn't afford the insurance he wouldn't bother getting the liscence.

Goodluck with Richard's move

Good luck, lots of changes

Good luck, lots of changes coming your way.

I'm almost...

afraid to comment since I know some things have changed since this post!  Regardless, good luck!

Yep...

Things have totally changed!

Brian has the license, and has done some driving, but only once all on his own.

Richard and his g.f. broke up, and this was after he moved to Waco, but before school started, so he's coming home.

Life is an adventure for sure!
