I'm particularly proud of the topper - because it's my first attempt at sculpting figurines and it turned out pretty good. I also created the starfish on the cake - out of fondant. was pretty nifty

LOVE the cake topper!

That is soooo cute!  And it matched your invitations, too.  You are just too creative, Deb! Smile  You and your DH look very happy!

Your cake is lovely. You did that sculpting on the first try? Wow.

And you do not look 40! Congratulations on your wedding Deb. you both look very happy. And to have your birth parents there too. How special. That must be a wonderful story to hear you tell.

Way creative Deb!

The cake is beautiful and the toppers are cute!  Love the starfish!!  Didn't look like fondant, looked like clay.

I LOVE the cake. It is so

I LOVE the cake. It is so special and so much a part of who you are as a couple. And it is getting really annoying that you are so darn creative!Wink (You do know that I'm trying to be funny, right?)

I love the bride in white sandals--that is something that I would do!

Nancy

Congratulations!

Your cake and topper are so unique, and the starfish really beautiful. Such a wonderful idea.Laughing   All of you look so happy. Am glad everything went well, and I wish you both much more happiness.Smile Really liked the idea of the colored sand also-you are so very clever.Cool  Cheryl

Wow, you're talented!

Sigh

It looks so beautiful! Love the cake, Love the dress. Heck, the groom looks kind of cute, too. :p

What a great day you must have had! I can't believe you did that cake topper yourself. It's gorgeous!

aw, thanks...

everyone. so glad you all think the cake topper is cool. that was my special thing for the wedding that i wasn't sure would actually work. i was afraid it would look cheesey.

LOL Nancy... i guess my creativity could get annoying. blame my birth parents for giving me great genes and my mom who always encouraged me to create and use my God-given gifts as much as possible.

jodie - maybe your DH and I could trade stories sometime.

all: thanks for the compliments on how i look. personally, looking at the pictures, i feel like i look like an overstuffed pillowcase - but that's just my paranoia about being overweight. like my profile says...i've got the metabolism of a sloth.

getting the weight off is my next goal...

thanks again for all the great, kind words!!!! you ladies are awesome.

Deb - you astound me!

Your cake is incredible.

I took a cake decorating course 25 yrs ago and I know how much work goes into creating one. I am in awe of your talent.

Was the topper made of fondant, too?  I have a book on using fondant, but I've never tried it myself.

I'm just astounded - no guff.

Beautiful cake!

Beautiful bride!  Looks like everything fit you and your DH to a tee, which makes it just perfect.  I do some cake decorating, too, so I know it's a labor of love.
