no real goals ..... I keep jinxing myself!  LOL    ... though I'd really like to read at least another 50 books before the end of the year

and no (((Jayne))), I won't stop reading!  LOL

I'm glad you all enjoy my reviews .... somedays it's really hard pulling the rights words together to best express my feelings ... other days, you can't shut me up!  LOL ... I'm trying not to have huge reviews .... I know I generally prefer them when they're medium in length or shorter

now (((Star))) .. why haven't you blogged them?  ... I wanna know what you've been reading ... you have such great recommendations ... I have you to thank for Adrianne Byrd and Lacey Alexander  :)

I must say reaching this year's 100 was a tough haul ... in 2006, I was at 100 at the end of May ... last year I made 100 at the beginning of July .... this is a pattern I'm not thrilled with .. groan 

I sure could use a good Mini-Challenge .... something to give me some inspiration  ..... any ideas anyone??

Hey Kat, congrats! 

Looking for something to sink your teeth into?  Hmmm.  Well I'm a huge MARATHON reader who loves to read in themes/series.  So I'd recommend you go on a Michelle Reid or a Susan Napier marathon and read up all the books you can get your hands on by those authors. I haven't really found a book by those authors that I've hated. 

Michelle Reid has heroes that are SO in love with their heroines, and so often faithful even during a separation, showing that they can't move on, they are as emotionally affected by the relationship as the heroine.

Susan Napier is one for shock surprises whapping you over the head in her books.  (You got me hooked on Secret Admirer remember?)  There are so many of her books that just have really interesting premises, unique plot lines, and fidelity and past lovers are not really issues, the H/h have a fresh no-angst start to their relationship with no recriminations. 

I'm also thinking about hunting up all the books I can by the following authors, whose styles have something unique about them that hits me: Kim Lawrence, Carole Mortimer, Kathryn Ross.

Also....  I've gone on marathons reading some paranormal authors.  Do you read paranormals?  I don't remember chatting to you about them.  And anyway, the paranormals are longer books that you might not want to read if you're trying for volume.  But so interesting!   JR Ward has a series of 6 books for "Black Dagger Brotherhood".  Angela Knight has the Magiverse series which you don't have to read in order, they are great as one shots too.  Nina Bangs has the Mackenzie Vampire series, funny, not sure how many there are.  Sherrilyn Kenyon has 15 books out in the Dark-Hunter series, very funny, very intense stories. 

Now all you have to do is catch up with me you're great at giving recommendations
