I'm Baaaaacckk!

Well we're back home after a brief jaunt down to Drumheller, AB ~ home of one of the top-notch dinosaur museums in the world... as well as some fantastic scenery.
On Monday evening my dh, finding that I wasn't babysitting this week and that it happened to coincide with his last week of summer holidays, decided that we should go somewhere.  So Joe, Teresa (our youngest ~ 16 already!) and I discussed where we could go for a short trip and, as Teresa wasn't around the last time that our family headed down south to the Badlands and the Royal Tyrell Museum, we concurred that it would fit the bill.  I did manage to take some books with me and even managed to read a couple, but we had a fantastic time.  The weather was good ~ somewhat over-warm (for me) the first day ~ and I've always loved the landscape around Drumheller.  Certainly takes you back a few aeons just to look around.  A great time was had by all of us and we came back rejuvenated, re-energized... and ready to register my baby for grade 11 yesterday.  *sigh*  Frown Surprised
So I will be posting my reviews shortly ~ in amongst checking out the action for the Olympics, reading blogs and other sundry online postings, doing laundry... in general catching up on the day-to-day stuff... Oh, and reading a few more books!  Wink

glad you had a few days away to recharge the batteries.

Hi Kathy Welcome back! I'm

Hi Kathy

Welcome back! I'm glad you had a chance to enjoy your family.

Margie :)

Hey Kathy

A few years back my daughter and I went to Edmonton to visit my sister when she lived there.  I spent a month there and had a great trip.  One day we decided that we were going to go to the Calgary Zoo.  So on the drive out there we stopped in Drumheller and went to the dinosaur museum!!  It was great...I loved it.  I have lots of great pics to show for it.

Glad you had a great trip and welcome back.  I'm going out of town myself this week for a few days.  I'm driving 7 hours to the capital of Newfoundland to visit my sister!  Oh yea and my daughter wants to school shop.  They have a few stores that we don't like Old Navy, Urban Planet, and American Eagle just to name a few.

MY BOOK REVIEWS

It was a wonderful break... and surprisingly spontaneous!

That could have been part of the charm.

Thanks for the welcome back Christa and Margie....

Shelley, I think that's great that you and Paige were able to visit Drumheller and the Royal Tyrell Museum.  I know that I'd love to head out east and re-visit NFLD and the other Atlantic provinces.  The last time that I was out there was shortly before I was married ~ sheesh, 25 years ago now! ~ and I know that I missed a lot.  One of my brothers lives on the Island and we've yet to visit his place... he's only been there for 10+ years... *sigh*  Someday....!
