Argh .... it was a single digit month!
.... I know I've been busy, but there were times I could have been reading but was just so uninspired ... so it's official .... I'm in a reading slump ... argh
Ebooks are working out okay for me ... I seem to read them quicker .. and they're convenient for reading early in the morning (I'm up at 4 for no good reason except to use the facilities, then can't sleep) .... I just need to get some more Harlequins in ebook, most of my ebooks TBR are erotica
Audios are great for when I'm doing manual type tasks, like gardening or painting ... sadly haven't had time to do those fun things lately (and that work is piling up majorly) ..... listening to me is still a very new thing, so I'm finding it hard to retain what I'm hearing .... I guess this is a brain multi-task that I need to gain experience with so it comes naturally
so .... I need some INSPIRATION to pull me out of my slump ... help!

Try something new
If you have anything different in your TBR read it. I was in a slump and tried some HMR and have read a few. Now if I could only blog the pile I have waiting to review. I need motivation for that.

Sorry I am on our old computer and somehow I posted twice.

Thanks Kaelee ....
I think you're right ..... Sadhbh posted about lines we don't normally read a few weeks ago ... I have quite a few books in my TBR that fit that bill and think it's time to pick them up
and part of my problem is finding time re re-organize my TBR .... it needs it badly .... and maybe that's holding me back because there are books that are calling quietly that I'm not quite sure where they are ........ that's what happens when the TBR grows and tons get stacked in boxes

Katherine - inspire yourself like you managed to inspire me
and you should have no problems
Well because of your Mile High blog I read that and got Rough Canvas earlier than I might otherwise have done
because of Menagerie I got a whole load more by Lara Santiago (and then a few others to fill up the basket
)
and because of the Lora Leigh I remembered that Nauti Dreams had just become available and so I ordered it
and so you can take credit for me reading at least nine or ten books I might not otherwise have read last month
Not to mention a certain package which is due to arrive
Feeling more inspired now?

No more excuses, just READ!
ROFL Sadhbh ....
Glad I could help inspire you :)
After the few gay romances I've read lately, and then add the erotica, I thought I should probably go make to some more "mainstream" reading .... but that's stumped me .... I've read a gay romance by Chris Owen that was very good and I've discovered there's a sequel ... so before I blog the first, I'll read the second and blog them one right after the other ....
but I do need to attack my TBR and put it into some sort of order .... then when a certain mood strikes I can take advantage by having the book right where it should be
I think that'll be my project tonight, while I listen to the audio I've started LOL

Can I help?
Ok I'm weird that way but I consider organizing books a wonderful and favourite pastime. I spent 3 days organizing my ebooks after you planted the idea in my head. I think it took three days because I kept getting distracted at author sites or Ellora's Cave or Samhain and I think my wishlist grew by another page at fictionwise.

slumps
My August totals are way down. Moastly life interrupting. I agree, take something from a line you don't normally read...or go to a bookstore and browse and read a book you pick then. Or an author you adore. Last night I had a ton of great thick books I wanted to read but I read some pages and I just did not feel very enthused by them, so I picked up an HR by a favorite auhor and it just hit the spot. Sometimes if I have been reading long books, a shorter one helps and vice-versa so that if I read too many shorter ones back to back I need a longer one. The main thing for me is something different whether it be a new author, a new line, a different length, a different subgenre or genre, light versus darker book, you name it. Hope you get back on track soon...and hey, good excuse to go book shopping.
