One Name leads to another... Movies/TV
by Sapphire-eHarlequin on September 1st, 2008, 3:07pm
The Rules are very simple --
Type the title of a movie.tv show with the actor/actress who is in it, using a word from the previous post..
For Example:
In The Heat Of The Night with Carol O'conner
Body HEAT with Kathleen Turner
Romancing The Stone with KATHLEEN TURNER

Vegas with Cameron Diaz

Murphy's Romance with Sally Field
This is one of my all time fave movies. 1983 (or 4?) . My mom came to spend a wkend with me and I took her to see it. Loved it so much that I picked it up on video and again when it came out on dvd. We watched it again when she was here this past summer for a week.

Oops!
Caron, you'd have done better sticking with your first choice since you could have used of to tag between the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Field of Dreams. Unfortunately, you have to use either a word from the title OR the name of the actor or actress. In this case, "America" was the first name of the actress in the movie.
Most small words like "and, the, a" etc are not allowed but "of" is acceptable...or at least, no one has called us on it yet. ;)
So I guess we're back to post 23.
Psst Caron, try that Field of Dreams post again. ;)

24
Ugly Betty with America Ferrera
25
Real Women Have Curves - America Ferrera
My question - Is using just part of the word okay? As in Caddy after Caddyshack or Sister after Sisterhood. I know we can add or drop an "s, ed or ing" Just my opinion that this violates the rules too..
Tammy
26
Little Women with Winona Ryder
Good question Tammy. It's been done before so I thought nothing of it.
I have np going back to post 22 if I pushed the envelop with tagging Sister with Sisterhood.
Ooooohh,
whoops. I think I understand now. Sorry to muck up the order!
I wonder if Ellen Hartman knows about this thread....she loves games (and understands rules, too.
)
Oh, question: when it's the name, does the same actor or actress have to be used? Robert DeNiro again, for example, or can it then be Robert Downey Jr.?

Caron
It has to be the same actor. Here's an example...
Raging Bull with Robert DeNiro
Meet the Fockers with Robert DeNiro
Meet the Fockers with Ben Stiller
Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt
Men in Black with Will Smith
Independance Day with Will Smith
Hope this helps Caron. :)

Beetlejuice with Winona Ryder
I don't know Tammy. Probably should go with what the majority feels about it. If someone took "juice" or "beetle" to tag the next post, it wouldn't bother me. To me, it's two words put together. If someone took "bee" from the title, then yeah, it would be a partial word in my opinion.

Sorry LPRO
My #39 post is correct. You can pick a word from the title, but you must use the same actor / actress as the previous post - Scroll back and Wench (Bren) just explained this rule between the #26 and #27 posts
