DD moved away to school, so you'd think the TV wars would be over. But no. See, I have a few shows to DVR:
The
Closer and Raising the Bar are on Monday. DH is fine with those.
Actually, he pretty much leaves the room. I think Gossip Girl is on
Mondays too, now, but I can catch it later if I have to.
Tuesday is blockbuster night.
Big Brother (OMG, I love this show so much!)
the
all new 90210...It was classic back in the day and it is awesome now.
That's my take. DH's take, It's garbage. What's wrong with the man? I
mean, seriously?!?
And the new Privileged. I haven't watched this yet, but the previews look cute.
Wednesday: ANTM and Project Runway.
Thursday: More Big Brother.
Sunday: Big Brother AND Masterpiece on KERA.
I
dropped The Hills--used to love it, now it's lame. Spencer and Heidi
hate Lauren, Lauren hates Spencer and Heidi. The new Lauren hates
Audriana or however you spell her name, Brody is a dog...blah, blah,
blah, boring. No thanks. Whitney's the only interesting character, and
she's rarely on, so I'm not tuning in.
This doesn't even take
into consideration Law and Order, Grey's, Desperate Housewives, Lost,
Gilmore Girls (hello ABC Family, I LOVE you for this show!) and the
other shows I watch religiously.
Unfortunately DH and TV go a
little like this: Poker, poker, Dark Angel, poker, Law and Order,
X-Files, Poker, NASCAR, X-FIles, Poker, The Weather Channel, X-Files,
Dark Angel, Poker, NASCAR, Mystery Theatre, Poker, X-Files.
Okay,
I love all the above expect The Weather Channel. And I have him as
addicted to Gilmore Girls as I am. But his TV habits are really not
working out with mine. I've got the broken ankle. I wonder if it will work to get me my way?!

Gotta love the old TV wars.
Gotta love the old TV wars. But you would think the broken ankle would trump possession of the remote.

No TV wars for me
DH watches TV, I read, the boys watch TV, I read, the brother watches TV, I read
When the boys are watching TV in the living room, the DH is watching a rerun in the den and the brother is watching TV on his little flatscreen in his room, I'm reading
y'all didn't REALLY think I managed to read all those books AND watch TV, did you?
remote? that's a description of where I am when I'm two feet away with my head in a book, right?
