Although I've reached 100 books, I just feel like I haven't really been into reading this year. Heck, I think I had surpassed 200 books by this point last year. There are just so many other things going on and TBH, I just really haven't felt like reading. *gasp* The horror!!!! 
I can't even tell you the last time I looked at my blog, let alone posted. Just been one of those years I guess!
re: Reaching 100 but still falling short
My year is going the same way...I've only read 1/4 of the books I read last year (and that's a much smaller number than your 100). I've also been drifting in and out...one month I won't read the blog at all, and another month I'll be back to participating.
I definitely miss reading, but this year has been crazy, so it happens. Sometimes we all need a little break, even from things we enjoy, like reading.

I only started in April of this year but from reading the blogs I think that a lot of people are struggling this year. I should have a lot more books up and reviewed than I have. I was in a reading slump over the summer because it was too hot. Hope you continue to enjoy your reads. You write great reviews BTW.

It has been that, Lady Amalthea! I miss reading too! I just don't seem to have time for everything lately though so reading has been put off to the side a little bit.
Thanks Kaelee and welcome to the Challenge! It's certainly been a hot summer that's for sure! I'm kinda of excited to see fall starting to burst through on the trees!

I can relate so well as I am behind also ,and feel terrible about it. Life has been quite a roller-coaster this year,and seems I will never get on an even keel.
Right now I have 8 books to review but the floaters in my eye are making it miserable to do things,and it upsets me even more. Guess I need to just take today,relax,remember,and just cuddle with all my furbabies,and hope I will get back on track tomorrow.

on getting to 100 sorry to hear there is such a big gap between your number this year to last year. I've only got a difference of 11 more read last year so hopefully I can close the gap between now and December
