- Hey Lori05/12/2008 - 20:52
I've got a book I'd like to lend you. I know you will love it.
Just kidding!
I'm hilarious. Or at least I am in my own head.

when I can't sleep. I pick either book titles or authors and try to go through and name one for each letter of the alphabet. I usually get distracted and start thinking about the books. And once I stop worrying about not being able to sleep I doze off.
I can't think of an x either.

There are still a few more books that I have sitting around waiting to be blogged. I'll be sure to get them in before this month is over.
Sadhbh, I'm gonna need you to pick up my slack this month. LOL I'm slow getting my books read this year. I'll aim for twenty this month, including my back log.

I had to save it to my favorites.
I refuse to miss a Lora Leigh sighting. R-E-F-U-S-E!

I would do similar to as your hubby suggested. I'd find a few reviews (if they are to be found) and read them. Then skim through both the beginning and the end.
Upon returning the book I would tell the person. Yes I read it. It was okay, but not the type of book I read all of the time. I do appreciate you thinking of me. That was really kind.
I've done it before. It works and also keeps the person from lending you another.

Tracking down books you've been looking for is HUGE.
WooHoo for you!

How very cool for you! I hope she pops in to see all the wonderful reviews written about her stuff.

The May count is gonna be down because of a visit to your in-laws. LOL I hope you had a good time.
Try not to get a papercut while frantically turning those pages trying to catch up!

I ditto ElleJay. Last year I posted as I went. This year I've been really lax in the reviewing department. I posted four today and have two more I want to get up before the weekend is over.
Don't worry about looking spam-ish. It's wonderful that you are driven enough to go through the trouble of posting them all.

and once I had worked my way through all of their books I started searching out for some of my own. I was drawn to the covers of the regency romances with the ladies in beautiful gowns and men with strong features. I always had to pick my books with care being certain not to buy any that had words like passion, virgin or wanton in them. Mom never took the time to investigate past the backcover so if I passed the initial examination she would let me get it.
Great post Betty!
