Well, I gave my Secret Pal at work 2 books for Mother's Day, HSR - April 2008 - Mothers of the Year by Rebecca Winters, Lori Handeland and Anna DeStefano and A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Galbaldon. Book 5 in the Outlander series, My friend has read this whole series- all 5,392 pages this year.
For myself, for Mother's Day, I ordered Anything for Her Children by Darlene Gardner, Yours, Mine and Ours by Karen Templeton and A Mother's Love by Janice Kay Johnson, Ruth Wind and RaeAnne Thayne. Sadly, they have not arrived yet.
- 05/08/2008 - 22:33I really liked Daring in the Dark by Jennifer LaBrecque and I concur with Julz Notorious by Vicki Lewis Thompson is a keeper.

With Sadhbh and Janet reading enough for 100 people each, we can all read less LOL. Just kidding. I've read 46 books so far and my plan is to keep reading at this pace the rest of the year.
I do see a lot of people who post in the forums, but haven't read one book yet. We ALL need to read and post for this wonderful challenge.

I am reading this thread late, but I enjoyed everyone's comments. Depending on the author, I may read a theme I do not ususally like and still enjoy their book, but on the whole I avoid the following:
1. Paranormal - Vampires, Werewolves etc - I have no interest in them (despite their many fans i.e The Black Daggar Brotherhood which I tried to read but could not finish)
2. Secret children - how could you have a child, but never tell the father and then get together later with him.
3. Sheik books - for all the reasons others listed.
4. Rape or forced sex
5. Submissive h's- I like a woman who can stand up for herself
- 05/04/2008 - 16:2510 is about all I do each month too. I was able to read 13 because I was home for 10 days in April after I had my surgery. Resting in bed and reading. May numbers will be lower I predict.

Yes, please tell your DH to take a picture of you reading, so we can all see what you look like since you are the May memeber of the month. And I haven't read 15 books in a whole month yet this year LOL.
Merci,
- 05/03/2008 - 13:40That's more than one a day. Great job!
