I am actually located between Mtl & Ottawa. $400 sounds great! I really tend to overthink the whole purchase. Still hemming & hawing over the PC vs. Mac decision.

I have been researching (and saving up for) a new computer for several months. I keep going to a popular unbiased product report site to see which is the best to get. I've always used a PC but I am tempted to try a Mac. Still researching... Have fun playing!

My bf & I have 4 cats right now and they are just like family to us. I am heartened that she was able to give you the necessary strength to let her go when she knew it was her time. One of my cats just came to sit on my lap as I am writing this... It is so hard to say goodbye. Know that you are in our thoughts and I hope that helps in some small way.

A book has to be really special for me to keep it. I do keep gardening books and cookbooks, though. For fiction, I much prefer to give to other avid readers to make room for more. Right now I have 3 people with whom I share my books - the first gives them back to me once she has read them and I pass them on to the next person. The last person I give them to gives them away to a friend of hers once she is done so they don't come back. Once, I put a bunch of books in a box, wrote FREE on the outside of the box and set it out at the end of my driveway before leaving for the day and it was gone when I got home (don't do this on garbage day and make sure it isn't calling for rain
). What a really easy way to pass them on for someone else's enjoyment.
