Location : Arklahoma, USA
Sex : Female
Interest : Reading, writing, 'rithmetic---no, wait a minute, cancel that last item! Actually, I have a writer's interest in almost everything. I love music (most of you know that I'm a working musician [playing with our church band while trying to finish my first album]). In addition to writing, I used to draw and paint a lot (including illustrations), and hope to resume that in the near future. Favorite reading categories: inspirational romance, romantic suspense, mysteries, how-to books, Christian helps, etc. (I also used to read a lot of science fiction and fantasy.) I love to travel, though I haven't done as much of that in the last few years as I did growing up. Oh, and for those of you who also miss the old smilies, here's a link to them: Smilies

Waaaa. (LOL) I'll try again later, but really, what's the point, when I know Frenchie has me beaten before I begin???

(Just lost my whole post while I was trying to see how many books I've read!)
Great idea, putting a logo & link to the press release! I've just put it onto my Hope Chest blog, and I'm going to add it to my other blogs, too, plus my personal webpages. (Maybe even the business webpage!)
So far, my score is
- Harlequin, 28
- Other, 17
I make that 45, plus library books I've had to turn in and will have to check out again to finish!
- 05/08/2008 - 15:17It's easy to get carried away and whine when we just look at the bad parts of life. That's why counting our blessings is so important. It gets us focused on what's right rather than what's wrong.

I really appreciate that! Yes, definitely Cloud 9 (or is there a Cloud 10???)! It is an affirmation that I'm on the right track, Dawn!
Angel, rejections are never easy, but Krista's was especially helpful in that she pointed out what was wrong with the ms. Going back over the ms. after that, I could see where it needs help. I'm not going to scrap it entirely, but I am going to change much of it, as well as ramp up the suspense. Yes, you should try for PRO. You can read about the requirements on the RWANational website. Best wishes with your work, and I hope to see your name on a Harlequin novel soon!
- 04/24/2008 - 17:00I'm over there looking for you right now!
- 04/08/2008 - 11:33And I thought I saw more, too, after struggling to get past five... I think one of the things that threw me was the difference in pixel content between the two covers. (I blew them up to 150% in IE, and you can see a real difference in the quality when you do that. The original cover has fewer pixels.) I actually like a few of the additions to the original cover, but I can see where they would be distracting... It's a beautiful cover either way!
- 04/05/2008 - 16:52Thanks, Isabel! It's nice to "meet" you, Emily! Now I'm wishing my novel targeted LIS instead of LI!
Just not that kind of suspense, though! I did have an "aha" moment today when I thought about a novel or two down the road connected to the current work. It's a cozy mystery, and it would be perfect for LIS!
- 04/03/2008 - 11:16Of course, now you have me blushing as I chuckle.
I'll let someone else design that one!
- 04/02/2008 - 12:38I can see that one now. It would look something like this:
. Only maybe a little more aghast...

Thank you, Olivia! You make me feel much better that mine didn't win this time.
If I could drag you into an historical when you don't generally like them, then I must have done something right!
I'll put it on the back burner for now, and consider turning it into a full-fledged novel some time in the future, DV. (Currently I'm doing revisions on Desert Dreamer that my multipublished c.p. suggested.)
Thanks again for making me feel so good!
