- Oh -- Brunswick never had a10/08/2008 - 23:19Oh -- Brunswick never had a voice, either. Makes a hoarse little bark sound, too. He tries to meow ... he really tries. Mostly his tail quivers when he's pleased to see you :)

Ah -- I just love hearing about all those pumpkins out there!! Thanks so much for sharing ... and yes, pix please!
You know, I'd never had an orange cat until Brunswick came along. I'd never really been attracted to them, but that critter has changed me for good. Purrs like an engine when you so much as glance his way. And really, he's not as fat as he sometimes makes out to be :)
He'd never have come into my life, either, if I hadn't put a little thank you letter in our local newspaper, thanking the bylaw officer who took the trouble to bring my missing cat, Chaos's little stiff grey body. She'd been hit by a car and I was utterly devastated. But the owner of Brunswick's mother read my letter and felt I'd be just the person for the special orange kitty in her litter. It wasn't exactly love at first sight -- I mean, he's never been pretty. But boy he won my heart in a flash. And then the whole family's in turn. I am now a commited pumpkin cat fan.

Thank you so much to everyone who requested a review copy! I managed to eke out a few more since those early entries came in so very darn close.
The copies will be in the mail as soon as I get my author box -- hopefully tomorrow!
- 09/20/2008 - 20:03Thank you, Deb. Those SSE covers are purdy. And quite different from the SRS ones, so it makes for a fun change.

Hmm .... not liking the way my sig line appears with each blog post. Must see if I can turn it off just for the blog posts ...
(No venison recipes, please!! That pic of me with the 303 was for MANHUNTER research purposes only!!)

<<I know it's salmon, Loreth, but 'holy salmon' just doesn't have the same zing. My dad would be salivating all over the place if he could see this pic. Not only is he an avid fisherman, but he loves, loves, LOVES eating his catch. Do you mind if I ask where this fish was caught? I'm guessing it's somewhere along the Canadian coast....>>
LOL, Amanda. Yeah, holy salmon doesnt quite cut it
YOu guessed right, this Chinook was caught off Tofino, on the west coast of Vancouver Island. I guess it would be called a King Salmon south of the 49th, and in some parts on the Pacific Northwest I gather its called Spring Salmon. By whatever name it goes, it truly is a great fish to eat.
Where does your dad like to fish, If I might ask?
