Well! I never imagined anyone pulling a fake writing contest for money but I guess it's as good a way as any if you're into scamming and robbery.

    Thanks for the info.

Angel, I know exactly what you're talking about.

During our military career, dh was gone many times with the longest being 6 months in Bosnia.

Yes, I was so happy to have him back, but he didn't just want to take the remote, he wanted control of everything! In other words, he wanted to step back into his place but I had filled it!

I can imagine how it must've felt for all those women who stepped up to take the men's places in industry and the factories when the 1st and 2nd world wars broke out. And then they were expected to just walk away and go back to cooking and cleaning when the men came home.

No wonder so many of them balked!

    Hey, that's great!

I've posted the press release on my personal blog as well as adding my book reviews to it as well as my eharl blog.

As a reader, I'm up to 61 books reviewed with 4 more read but the reviews not written.

I tell ya, this readin' is startin' to interfere with my writin'!

Hey Donna, so how come you didn't wave when you passed me?  Wink

You know, I actually agree with you and might just drop the number/star part altogether.

This is my first year reviewing books 'in public' and I started off in January using the one given on this site like the one you have there, Christa. My earlier reviews reflect this.

But the explanations didn't work for me...you think maybe it's b/c I'm a BAChristian that I had trouble with: Excellent: I'd have to kill you if you take this book away  Undecided Ya think?

Also, except for the Love Inspired line, a book has to be excellent before I have room to keep it.

So, then I found the ratings I'm using now and like them much better.

You mentioned the heat level ratings - I still use the list I found on this site but had to change the wording again. I mean, where it says, Sensual: I'd share this book with my mother (moderately explicit lovemaking, no "forbidden" words)  well, let's just say I wouldn't share it with my Mom! (BAC again)

Come to think of it...I'll never hear the end of it if my mom ever reads my earlier post 'A Girl Can Never Have Enough Chocolate'  Innocent  or even the racy pirate story Cunny Callie of the Calista Queen  I left on the writer's challenge board yesterday Embarassed. Hmmm.

I think I'll stop here and get back to my wreading. Laughing
