My mother discovered a fun little bookstore in the town I grew up in, White Bear Lake, MN.  Arno's Books, a tiny place run by a retired guy more as a hobby than to make money.  It was a nice gathering place to talk about books, if you mentioned a book it would show up there :-)

Here is a picture of Dante 8 years later (last month) sleeping on a comforter with 3 yr old Buddha. If we could just get them to be this settled at night :-) Pleasant dreams to everyone from snowy Colorado!

Jill and Wayne, thank you for telling us about Pixel ! When our beloved cat Mowgli was very sick, also kidney failure, his wise and understanding vet said that our house was a hospice for an old person. That thought helped us care for Mowgli until he died at 17 yrs. When we adopted a new kitty a month later, I wasn't sure I was ready but our vet pointed out he would soon remind us of Mowgli when he was younger. I'm sure your other cats will likewise help you both when you miss Pixel.

Thanks for the acronym list, Christa, some are pretty funny!  I've seen the usual ones on the Internet, but there are some specific to books that are new for me (TBR, TBB) :-)   What do you do when you have piles of lists of TBB?

Hi Christa, I like your rating descriptions, they are very practical in every-day terms :-)  I haven't been posting long enough to use numbers myself.  Just starting to read Merri's TBR !
