I haven't seen Schindler's List but I'm sure it would be on my list too.

Oh, yes, Pay It Forward.  Can't believe I forgot it, considering I own it and all.

    And I forgot The Patriot.

Some dragon books I've read and enjoyed or will soon be reading...

    I second:

Mercedes Lackey's dragons in her Joust series

Anne MacCaffrey's dragons in her Pern series

    Plus:

    Patricia Wrede's Enchanted Forest Chronicles

    Allyson James's Dragon books

Katie MacAlister's Aisling Grey books (and presumably her Silver Dragon books though I haven't tried the one that is out yet)

I haven't read them yet but will soon be trying Marjorie B. Kellogg's Dragon Quartet.

Natalie - I was crying so hard by the end of John Q and I don't have kids.  I can only imagine what my reaction would be if I did.

Janet - November is another one my uncle recommended, but I only watched about 30 min in and left the room, so I didn't really get emotionally involved.

Anyone know why the Kate Mosse tag on this isn't linking with the two reviews made?  I mean, if I go to my entry and click the Kate Mosse tag, I also get Kelley's review, but this isn't "linked" with them.

John Q.  The whole sick child, desperate parent thing.  I watched it w/ my ma and sister and we were all crying by the end.

Eight Below.  My uncle recommended it... I should have known better.

And I will NEVER watch Where the Red Fern Grows or Old Yeller again.

Except for the first one you may notice an animal trend.  Anyway, I avoid tearjerker movies when I have warning.  (For some reason, the same doesn't hold true for books.  I have some I read over and over.)

On the bright side: At least you're organized. Wink I'm afraid I can't say the same for myself.

Do re-reads count in our numbers?  Or do you mean just the most prolific authors? Because I have some authors that I re-read all/most/many of their books(depending on how many they have) every year (or every other).  If re-reads count that might change my answer.

    Earlier this year I said:

If I'm giving a negative review (and I do...I'm not going to not blog about a book I read or comletely ignore whatever it is about it that irritated me), I usually mention something about other reviews I've read, either here or on BN.com or Amazon.com, etc.  If other people loved it, I mention that, and the author doesn't have one review hurting sales (hah- like I have that much influence).

OTOH, if I don't care for a book bc, say, it's a Blaze and had more sex stuff than I liked (but the story was okay) - I'll try to get away with not saying anything... I'll talk about why I read it in the first place instead of what I thought afterwards.

Since then, well, that still holds true for books I really didn't like.  But for the bulk of my reading, I try to make my reviews really bland.  And avoid any issues I have.

And I try to stay fairly neutral for books I loved, too.  The idea that someone else might be influenced by my review makes me nervous.  Oh, and I edit my reviews like crazy until they are banal enough for my comfort.  Because so much of my opinion and my review depends on my mood.

I'm sitting here really wishing I could be in Buffalo New York to take that tour myself.  What fun. Laughing

Now, I want to hear the library story! Long or no! Pleeaasseee.???

I got to it bc I had a line/queue of books to read in a certain order.  And even then I let one book jump in the middle - something I hardly ever do bc I don't like reading more than 1 book at a time.  Anyway, if it hadn't been for that line/queue...
