It sounds like you had a lovely time.  I got to go to the RWA Literacy Signing in Dallas several years ago.  My friend, Patricia Thayer, who writes for Harlequin now was attending, and she invited me down for the signing.  It was awesome!  I met some of my favorite authors, and lost interest in one big name author that was horribly rude.  Never bought her books again.

    I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

How exciting to get the news at RWA!  I can't wait to hear more about the call either!

I feel so bad for you all.  I lost my Shih Tzu two years ago and it was so hard.  You're right the other dog will be lost without his companion...my Java was.  I didn't get another dog for well over a year, but Java took right up with him when I did.

Your family is in my prayers.

I just finished making myself an office out of an extra bedroom.  I built bookshelves out of 1" x 8" x 10' boards and concrete blocks.  I made four shelves to begin with, three of which have books packed in that are for trading.  The fourth shelf is packed, some places double stuffed, with my TBR pile.  Some of them I even moved to the trade shelf, just because I had started them and obviously didn't get hooked.  I'm afraid to count how many I have, not to mention that there is an entire box sitting in my bedroom that I cleared off my nightstand and I have no room on the shelves for them.  I haved moved another small shelf into my office, but I have to stop this growing TBR list.  :)

I don't know about scentless paint, but I really haven't noticed paint fumes at all since I finished.  I am prone to migraines from strong fumes, and this didn't bother me at all.  I bought it at Walmart.

My nephew, who is 7, and I love to ride the carnival rides when the carnival is in town.  We always go on bracelet night so it's less expensive.

Thanks for sharing the pics Nicole, and I agree, your neighborhood looks very inviting.

My prayers are with you!  I have never been in a hurricane, but living on a major river, I have lived through major floods, and here in Oklahoma, we're in Tornado Ally!  Be careful, and take care of yourself through Dolly!

I may not have any DP on my bookshelf at PBS at the moment.  I know I have some in some boxes though.  I'm about to start unpacking all the boxes since the painting is finished!  Yippee!!!  At least in my office...now I have to paint the hallway and kitchen and then all except one bedroom will have been painted in the last year!  I've lived here 16 years, that's never happened before!

I have to get some boxes of books unpacked tonight, the electrician is coming tomorrow to install new light fixtures and ceiling fans, he can't even get to one of them!

I will have to remember to do that from now on.  And that's exactly how I found the older post I had made, by going onto my profile page and finding where I had posted.
