he doesn't know about being ogled and he's very shy about that (which is so cute to me).
as for the suit showing just how 'defined' he is... well, it depends on the wetsuit and sometimes it's yes.

Vince you are too funny. I love the out of the box view. You're probably right about it not fitting the parameters of the challenge, but I'm very glad you posted it.
btw, the Writer Challenge forum has been archived. I saw that you posted in the "old" room. The new one is in the Write Stuff section labeled Writer Challenge 2. Letting you know just in case no one else gets to see your post and read the story.
ciao!

i'm all for using a pen name since i know my mom would be appalled at the racier stuff i've written (heck, i embarrass myself)

i've considered using the name my birth mother put on my "original" birth certificate in place of the name i grew up with (since i was adopted at birth). i guess, if you think about it, i've always had two names - so technically i'd be using my "real" name.in this era of close to nil privacy, i think an alternate ego is almost a must. just my two cents...

ROTFLMAO about your "devotions" Sheandeen.
I've taken to eBooks for the steamy cover books I don't want others to know I'm reading, but I may have to just get myself a nice leather cover now...
There will always be printed books as long as there are bibliophiles in the world.
- 04/14/2008 - 15:06i hadn't really planned on submitting since it was too short to qualify for anything on the site. it was one of those things that just flowed out and had to get done before my brain rebelled.

i appreciate your candor that brought this topic to attention. i believe one's faith can be both personal and public.
i enjoy seeing Faith in a story, but, like you, if the prayers seem out of place it's hard to enjoy the book. I believe "preaching" only works in a story when it jives with how the author has established a character. it's a fine line though - one that is sometimes difficult to walk. of course, Faith can be a touchy issue anyhow, my hat's off to the authors who try, even if they don't always succeed.

As a graphic artist, I have access to nifty avatar tools. Unfortunately, I cannot take credit for all the snarky sayings because I "borrowed" the avatar from another online friend (also a writer and much better than I).
If you ever have any ideas you may wish to immortalize in an avatar i can probably help out. You may be able to right-click over the avatar and save picture as to your computer. Try it. If it doesn't work, I can always send it your way...

thanks for the comments on the short short. it wasn't any entry of any sort - just something my brain wouldn't let me ignore until written. i have attached myself to the Writer's Challenge forum and am about to post for the next challenge (yay). So it is appropriate to perhaps ask forum friends and the like to look over stray stuff?
could you help educate me on what Harlequin series an extended "sweet" story such as this may fit? i am attempting to zero in on my writer's voice. you appear extremely busy, but i appreciate your help.
- 04/02/2008 - 09:25thanks for the very helpful notes. i am working on getting connected.
