- RE: Another non-alcholic07/16/2008 - 21:03Oh now that sounds really good! And refreshing especially during this heat. I may have to try that. Hmm...maybe I should have titled this blog..ideas treats for reading lol!
- 07/16/2008 - 13:22Everything here sounds soo good!Sam, Same with me with the sugary drinks I try to stay clear of them as often as possible. My coffee has flavored creamers in it but I only drink that 2x a day. I wish sugary drinks weren't such no nos!
christa_r, that banana or pineapple flavoured Malibu rum with 7Up and ice sounds soo good!I don't always indulge in alcoholic beverages even though I want to they are such no nos! as well plus sometimes they get me hyper depending on the drink. - 07/15/2008 - 12:48Cady, beer and salsa w/chips is different! I love that combo haven't tried it with reading though. Beer would help with relaxing.Cats, make great reading companions mine usually lays beside me. But if i have a heavy hard back that I can't lay down with he decides the book makes a good sleeping spot..not good!Fruit is good when Im trying to cut calories especially strawberries and grapes mixed not too messy. (unless I get the grapes with seeds yuck!)Kaelee, I give you kudos for not dropping your books I know I would have by now I'm a klutz at times. lol @ your cats though!
- 07/05/2008 - 13:34950+ pages! That should almost count as two books!! But if it is a enjoyable author and book sometimes that many pages can flash by. It also depends on the size of the letters.
- 07/01/2008 - 21:38I LOVE dragons! And I would love to see more books with dragons. Some dragons in the Nocturne or Luna books would be awesome! As far as movies. I adored Dragonheart that is one I have watched many times and always cry at the end so beautiful.I felt like the movie Eragon was so off from the book(which I adored). The movie had poor acting and just was way off!I haven't read alot of books with dragons but among some ofcourse is Eragon, I havent read the 2nd in it just because I saw tons of poor reviews and was afraid it would ruin Eragon for me I still may get it someday just out of curiousity.I also read Song in the Silence by Elizabeth Kerner which was amazing! I don't have the sequels to it but would love to track them down someday. On Fire's Wings by Christie Golden has a dragon in it as does her sequel In Stone's Clasp a wonderful fantasy that I just adored(sadly the third is only in ebooks and I don't have one)But yeah I just adore dragons anything to do with them that is done well and doesn't make them into something evil.
- 06/20/2008 - 19:34Congrats Merri! That sounds very exciting!
- 06/17/2008 - 21:12Hi Merri, our newspaper here in Huntington is so thin that it is embarassing. Non news stuff makes the front page anymore. Most important issues get tossed deep inside. I think the main problem with newspapers is the internet I admit I seek most of my news from the internet mostly because it is written better and I can find more. I cant say if it is the poor writing of our newspaper or just because I'm on the net more.
- 06/12/2008 - 14:17Hi Jana, for some reason the last month or two I have been in a reading slump or have had interruptions myself. I am starting to pick things up a bit though and have been making myself sit down in the evenings since I don't have many tv shows to watch. I hope you get to relax with your books without those annoying neighbors!!
- 06/10/2008 - 21:47I just come along this blog and have to agree with alot that I have read on here. I have always scratched my head over white women with black hair with no kind of hispanic or asian, native american background with hair so black its blue. Or how about the red heads who have perfect tan skin? Don't most redheads burn easily because of their sensitive skin? Even blondes? The ones with the white or silvery blonde hair(with the exception of paranormals or fantasies) I'm talking about normal women with that color hair with ofcourse perfect tanned skin, big boobs..in this day in age that hair is bleached and the boobs are fake. The hair down to the waste has always bothered me too I know when my hair gets too long it becomes very hard to manage. And with all that hair how about the sex it would get all in the way when kissing or just moving around it should be in their mouths, tangled in his or her hands. One pet peeve I have is when you are reading a adventure romance and the H and h are hot and sweaty and have been days without a shower due to being stuck in a jungle or something like that and they have sex? I'm sorry that is not sexy! Or when they wake up after spending the night together and start making out...ummm morning breathe!!!I one time read about a sex scene that took place in a race car after the H won a race and he was doing a victory lap with her in there with him. Has anyone ever seen the inside of a stock car??? How on EARTH did they manage to fit her on top of him?? lol I could go on and on!
- 06/04/2008 - 11:29I'm glad to hear that Glenn is feeling better. Thank goodness for your family doctor. It is always good to get a second opinion rather than listen to the doctors that cause panic. It is strange that its healthy foods that are causing illnesses. Last summer it was lettuce and spinach, now its tomatoes. I've heard of cauliflower being a iffy type of food, its not a favorite of mine anyway.
