- Yay Jennifer!!05/15/2008 - 05:38CONGRATS, JenniferF!! Fingers sooo crossed!!! Hoping you find daylight writing hours sometime soon! But hey, Vampire Days are better than not writing at all! And thanks...so looking forward to the trips!Chelle, I love exploring our local area! Hope you have fun! And yes, the costs are so high these days. We've cut back even further as well!JenniferS, Have a lovely, lovely time!!! Can't wait to hear about the trip when you come back!!Holly
- 05/15/2008 - 05:34Ronda, LOL I'm loving everyone's birth stories! Scary that they came so early, but glad they both were fine!Dear Jokey, I'm so glad you never went back to that dr!!Carrie, That's the lovely thing about Erie...everything's close. Well, it seems close to other people. To those of us born here, traveling to the westside of town (about fifteen minutes tops) seems to take forever. Susan just laughs at me when I complain about how "far" away she lives! LOL
Chelle, My dh loves the show, too. I watch a lot of that, and home shows with him.Marcie, we've talked about taking a cruise, but I'm afraid I'll be like you...motion sick the whole time!Anna, They sound like neighbors from h...hades! Most of our neighbors are elderly, which means I shovel their sidewalks in the winter, but they're wonderful!Morning, Amy!!I'm leaving tommorrow (with Susan) for a conference, so I'll talk to you all next week!! I'm so jazzed about our roadtrip!Holly - 05/14/2008 - 05:39Rae, 21...18...more than 4...I can't imagine!!Holly
- 05/14/2008 - 05:38Michele, Congrats on the new car!!JenniferS, Glad the damage wasn't worse! Have fun at the zoo. And do tell? Where are you headed? We're going to DC and Williamsburg in a month!Beautiful day yesterday...rain today. Writing both days!!Holly
- 05/14/2008 - 05:36Oh, yesterday was gorgeous here!! Mowed, took down the dying tulips (I was so sad to see them die out) and picked parsley and chives from my herb garden for our pilaf. Soooo good!! Hope it was a great one for all of you, too! We have rain heading here today, but that's good because I'm hoping to double-up on my pages today so I can go to the conference on Friday guilt-free!Maureen, I love garlic and olivie oil on anything!!Chelle, Hey, it was just my last one who was easy. The other three weren't so much! The first one, I had a broken leg and had to have a nurse just to hold my leg! LOL (Feel better?) And sorry Possum eats your pretties!Ronda, See my above dinner...yes, I use my herbs. There's nothing better than fresh herbs from the garden. And our camp is about forty minutes from home, in the middle of Amish country. We have 18 acres, with a creek and spring-fed pond (that needs dredged). We have a cottage that Amish craftsmen built for us. It's not finished on the inside. When we're done paying tuitions (just a few more years!!) we'll start working on that. We have an outhouse, which is a great addition, since I spent my last pregnancy without one...ugh. <g> Hope you got some sleep...you sounded tired!Rae, Wow...you pulled her out yourself???Amy, If you lived a bit closer, I'd share! We always have more stuff from the garden than we can use. My dh tends to take bags into work and distribute! Hope your sick kid's better today!Sally, That's just what I was sitting here thinking...I'd have kicked him!! LOLTasha, So glad you survived 5th grade! And what a cool idea about the made up names!!Ellen, Thinking about you and your sis today!! And I'd've killed your friend's dh...egg?!!! Congrats on the final!!!!Carrie, Okay, add your nurse to my kick-list!! Wow! And yes, compost rocks!Kay, The kids will be fine...enjoy the trip!! And congrats on being a finalist!!!Christyne, Oh, very cool about losing all that weight right after the birth. I'm still hoping to lose the rest of my baby weight...hey, my baby's only 14. It could happen! LOLMorning, Kim!!Holly
- 05/13/2008 - 05:21Oh, wow, Nancy....twenty-one??? And here, I thought four was a lot! LOLHolly
- 05/13/2008 - 05:20Ellen, I loved Ira's sister, too! "He'll laugh." LOL And yes, finding out how much energy it would take to boil an ocean does make for an interesting job!Sally, Yeah, worrying about mountain lions (that's terrible about the neighbor's dog!!) and deer aren't a huge worry here in the city. At our camp, we have the deer, lots of turkey and a bear now and again, but still, not mountain lions!! I just planted rosemary last weekend. And basil and cilantro. My parsley and thyme came back from last year. I'm looking for somewhere to put in peppermint. It tends to spread, so I want to isolate it in its own planter. Composting is great. We just spread our pile and are about to start a new one.Chelle, I'm so glad the storms missed you!! And yes, it's tough letting kids go. Teaching them good safety skills helps with peace of mind! Well, as peaceful as any parent's mind can be! LOLChristyne, Gnocchi are a potato based pasta. Little lumps of heaven!! Order them the next time you go out...they're great, and oh-so filling!!Amy, I'm glad you're feeling better, but sorry the illness is still weaving its way through the family. Hugs.Aurelene, Maybe everyone should work a pasta scene into their WIPs! LOLAmi, Aw...very sweet mother's day!! And had to laugh...I asked for a hydrangea, but yes, dirt is an easier present! LOL And an hour's fast, too.Kay, I'll give you a holler when I'm heading down!More of the same here today. Working on the WIP, then doing some outside work. It's supposed to be nice today, but more rain starting tomorrow!Holly
- 05/12/2008 - 14:05JenniferS, Early Dismissal is the bane of any mother's existence.Maureen, Glad you found a polish you like! I get my nails done tomorrow!Holly
- 05/12/2008 - 14:02Ellen, Oh, man, I love gnocchi! I just started making it a couple years ago because I love it so much. Uh, if she takes the hint and makes it for you, you could share! LOLCarrie, Sorry you were under the weather! Glad the tril was canceled!!Maureen, 'this and that' is a great subject header!Hi, Shelley!!Writing pages done. Niece came over and I spent our time reading. I forgot how much I love Ira Sleeps Over!!Holly
