Ann, Oh, your breakfast sounds lovely!  And Ethel threw her back out, they think.  The pain meds weren't cutting it, so they added a muscle relaxant yesterday and that seems to have helped a lot.  She's still not nearly up to snuff.

 Sandy, Sounds crazy there!  It's going to a quiet holiday season here this year.  With all the wedding stuff in the spring, the out-of-town family isn't coming in for the holidays.  But we're pretty relaxed about the holiday anyway, so we're okay with it!

 Ellen, Stay in and stay safe with all that rain!  Maybe that makes it a perfect day to stay in and read!!

Thanks to everyone for the Ethel wishes!  We got more drugs at the vet's yesterday and they seem to have helped a lot.  But she's still not quite back to her regular self!

Thanks Ann and Rae!  Poor Ethel is still very sore.  She's got a dog bed on the floor that she generally ignores in favor of the couch, but is now using.  I hate that the drugs aren't doing more than take the edge off.

Well, my dog is still in pain, even with the meds.  Poor Eth.  Ella is totally confused and can't decide what to make of it.  Thanks everyone for your concern!

Hi, everyone!  Getting online very late...my dog was sick and spent the morning at the vet's.  She's on doggie drugs now...hoping they help!

Sorry...very late here.  Ethel Merman, the big dog, was obviously in pain last night, so took her to the vet first thing and she's on doggie drugs now and seems to be doing a bit better.
